New month, new monthly Grimm thread.

For info directly from their website
    http://grimmales.com/

Grimm beers are usually in high demand (especially the cans). Cans have been limited to low counts per person. Grimm Artisanal Ales supply their beers at low prices (and have NOT raised their prices recently) to the distributor, who supply the retail shops, and therefore are not responsible for the final price you may encounter. They try to support the "Mom and Pop" shops that sell their beer. Hopefully, we should all support these small shops.

The latest fitness craze has been the checking of this thread and Beermenus for their cans/bottles and running around town trying to get them before inventory is sold out. Needed exercise for some of our fellow beer enthusiasts. :grinning: If you miss out, you can usually find their beer on tap.

Post away and yes, Joe and Lauren (the Grimm's) monitor this thread and are great about responding to your questions and comments. Especially, if you tag them @Grimm_Artisanal_Ales. They are really great people.

The beautiful Grimm artwork on their labels is designed by Lauren, about 50% from scratch and the rest using Gretta Johnson's (their longtime friend) artwork.

Check out http://grettajohnson.com/ for more about this talented artist.

Current exhibit is Gretta Johnson "Jackets/Machines/Hair".

    Her show runs until July 29, 2016. #GrettaJohnson #feuermeslermeslerfeuer

For what it's worth, IMO, as far their beers with raspberries go, I prefered Purple Prose to Rubus Rebus. But hey that's just my dumb opinion. I do look forward to trying a beer with Boysenberries, as I don't think I've ever had one.

Just wanted to give a huge shout out to @Grimm_Artisanal_Ales Lauren and Joe. I purchased some of their BEAUTIFUL glassware online and there were some problems (my fault!) with shipping. When the box did arrive it appear it was mishandled by the carrier and one of the glasses broke. I informed Lauren and Joe about this issue. Not only were they prompt with their responses but they sent me a replacement to boot.

I've always been a huge fan of theirs but small moves like this are what turn a customer into an advocate!

Cheers to the both of you!

re: the grimm glasses -- maybe this goes without saying, but don't put it in the dishwasher. it seems to degrade the lettering on the glass.

U really shouldn't put any glass that you use for beer in the dishwasher.

    I tried that conversation.
Me: The internet says i should just use really hot water and rinse it out really well. It says don't use soap and dont put in dishwasher
Her: that's gross, I'm using soap.

The glasses that have real metals on them definitely corrode (and eventually flake) in the dishwasher. The ones with colored inks should be ok.

We will be announcing several new glassware designs soon!

To clean glassware, I sometimes put it in dishwasher, but with fragile things like tekus, I use a square of paper towel as a sponge and use basic dishwashing liquid to clean it. I'm OCD about using an already used sponge that's already dirty.
I usually dry waving/fanning out any excess water than letting the rest air-dry.
I never see dirt in them, and I never get bubbles on the side of the glass, so I assume my process works. Anyone else clean their glasses in a particular way?

If I wash a glass as soon as I finish a beer, I'll just rinse it with warm water and pop it on the drying rack.

If it had been sitting a little while after my beer, I'll typically put it in the dishwasher.

Don't own a teku so this if for mostly tulips, snifters, and a spiegelau.

I guess she hasn't broken any of your glassware like mine (Hill Farmstead glass ). I don't let my wife touch them anymore.
