I am staying at Courtyard Copley Place I believe. I was in Boston last year but feel as if I didn't see very many of these types of bars. Also, I love how accessible Boston is compared to Chicago. Its very compact. I really am willing to travel around the city or uber around the city to find some places to sample a lot of the local brews.

Same question from me? I'm staying at the Hyatt Recency. Just for tonight. Would love to get to try some good NE beers.

I would hoof it (2 miles) or take a taxi to Cambridge Brewing/Lord Hobo/Meadhall and those environs. Another good alternative would be taking the T green line out to the Publick House.

Salty Pig and Coda are very close by and usually have at least one Trillium tap plus 5-6 other good New England drafts, albeit not a huge list. 5 Horses South End is about a 10 minute walk and had 4 lines of Trillium among its 30 or so craft taps, as well as Fiddlehead and Deciduous handles, plus a cask program, when I was there a week ago.

Hi All- I know someone had asked for a post-trip report, so I thought I'd post just in case its helpful for others that are visiting. For those of you that don't care, apologies in advance.
    Thursday,

-had lunch at Parish Café- Had a Hobo Life- both the beer and food were great

-After lunch, took the red line over to Broadway and crossed the street to Worden Hall which had 7 Trillium beers on tap, and the bar tender let me sample almost all of them, which helped in making some decisions before I walked over to the FP location. I think it was because Beer Camp was in town and it was an SN/Trillium take over, so not sure if they typically have that many Trillium beers on. Just checked their site and still have 5 beers on, so maybe it is pretty standard. They don’t do any half pours or flights, but again, they will pour samples if its not busy.

-Walked down to Fort Point to pick up some beers- grabbed a growler of Vicinity, 2 bottles of vicinity, 2 bottles of DDH Congress Street, 1 bottle of Heavy Mettle, and 1 Bottle of Galaxy FPPA. Just missed canning by a few weeks

Grabbed a Lyft back to Beacon Hill to meet up with my brother. We split the 32 oz Vicinity growler before we headed back over to the Fort point area and went to Drink before dinner.

Had 9:00 PM reservations at Row 34, split some oysters, crab cakes and lobster rolls along with a Fort Point Pale and an Oxbow Loretta. One note, they were out of the normal roll for the lobster, so it came on a hamburger bun, which may impact the overall experience.

    Friday

Went for a run around the Charles, stopped by Mike & Patty’s for a sandwich (The Fancy was amazing) and did a Duck tour at 11:00 AM

Walked from the Museum over to the North End, arrived at Neptune Oyster at 1:00 which was on a 2.5 hour wait. Planned to go straight to Gingerman, but they don’t open until 2:30 on weekdays, so we wandered around a bit. Grabbed a snack at Modern Pastry, tried to get a slice from Galleria Umberto to hold us over, but they sold out with 3 people in front of us. Found our way over to Gingerman, and had a flight of: Aeronaut A year with Dr. Nandu, Kent Falls Pineapple Juicemaker, Nightshift Awake, & Firestone Bretta Rose.

Finally got the call and grabbed a seat at the bar to eat more oysters and a glorious butter filled lobster roll along with a harpoon IPA.

From there we hopped on the green line over to Kenmore and went to Cornwalls to pre-game. That place deserves some recognition, the bartenders were awesome and they had a great tap list. I had a Lost Nation Gose & SingleCut Billy Full-Stack. They also had 2 Grimm beers , a Beer’d IPA, a Wicked Weed on, along with a few other solid options I can’t recall. Definitely recommend as a place to check out before or after a game.

Found a Jack’s Abby House Lager at the red sox game which did the trick. we went back to Cornwalls to kill time (drank a Grimm Forcefield) before we headed Eastern Standard for late night food, which starts at midnight. Was beer-ed out and switched to whiskey along to accompany our fried mac and cheese bites and buffalo fries, but they had some good beer options.

    Saturday

Slept in and headed over to LuLu’s in allston. Showed up around Noon with no wait, which was unexpected, and recovered with a bloody mary, FPPA, and White Trash hash which should be illegal it was so good. I think my brother had a Lost Nation The Wind as well which was very good. Their tap list was seriously impressive, everyone should try to make this a stop.

Caught a ride over to Cambridge and walked around Harvard for a bit. After that we walked over to Aeronaut to have a flight and was pretty impressed with their offerings. After Aeronaut, we grabbed an uber over to Nightshift for a flight and a pint while watching the US open.

After a nap, Dinner at Salty Pig where there was some more Trillium to be had along with charcuterie and pizza. Everything was great. Ended up at some bar on Newbury street that was OK afterwards, but wish we would have headed back up to the Beacon Hill area to one of the places recommended for a night cap.

Overall, it was a great trip and appreciate all of the input on the thread! As you can see, we didn’t make it everywhere we had hoped. In retrospect, I probably would have done CBC and Lord Hobo over Aeronaut, but after NightShift we didn’t have the energy to head back to Cambridge. As for the lobster roll debate, I still give the edge to Neptune vs Row 34, but the fact that you can skip the long wait probably offsets it, so I think that just depends on schedule/preference. I know this is lengthy, but hope it helps.

Can't do much better than this! I'd take Deep Ellum over Publick House or Lower Depths, but it's a bit farther away from Fenway, and you'll find great beer at both. Beer Works next to Fenway is making some fine beer these days. Have a great time!
