Completely agree. Although I recently had a Trillium Artaic and enjoyed it.

tiredhandsbrewingTomorrow at 5:00pm at our @fermentaria, we will be releasing cans of GATHERER and Alien Church! GATHERER is our Foraged Honey Imperial Stout brewed with our great friends from @18thstreetbrewery. We essentially brewed Drew's phenomenal Imperial Hunter recipe, spiced it with ingredients foraged from Jean's farm (honey suckle, mugwort, and ao shiso) and then added over 100lbs of Pennsylvania wildflower honey. The resulting beer is dense and devastating while remaining peaceful and floral. 11.5%abv. $24/four pack. Alien Church is our otherworldly hyper pungent oat IPA. It's nice to have this back in cans! 7.0%abv. $16/four pack. Drew from @18thstreetbrewery will be in the house for the release and will be pouring a few very special samples of his badass beers for the line! We will also have a limited run of discharge printed GATHERER shirts for sale as well! Allotments will be announced ASAP tomorrow!

I hope they make a sh** ton of Alien Church. Last time it sold out really quick with the case per person allotment.

While expensive, it is 64 ounces of a 11.5% imperial stout w/ honey. That's $0.38 an ounce.

I'm more interested to see the effects of a Friday release on the line size. I'm thinking people that want to duck out of work early on a Friday might not hang around. People that normally are on their way to the shore might not want to hang around. Maybe the 95 degree heat turns people off to the thought of an 11% stout. Maybe the weekend bottle release has an effect. Or ........ maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part.

Had a bad feeling this would be the case. Still will be a line all the way to cricket by 5pm probably. Apparently where there's honey...there's money. :astonished:

Also keep in mind the SEPTA situation. I use the regional rail, as I'm sure many others do, to get over there from work on typical canning days. This whole issue with SEPTA is definitely playing into my future visits..

Most expensive cans yet but I'm looking forward to trying it.

Optimistically people might be busy on Friday and not attend the release but it'll be a hot day to line up too

Jean is really loving adding honey to everything!

In America, first you get the honey. Then you get the power. Then you get the women.

I am going to guess 3 pk limit per and beer making it to the bar at 7.

Fridays are already a complete shit show aside from trying to make a can release too. For those of you who do make it, enjoy!

All I gotta do is cut my IPAs with this wheat flour and the money prints itself!

Wouldn't be surprised if Gatherer is two 4-packs per person.

I've never been to one of these releases. My wife would be meeting me in Philly around 4 or 5 so we'd get to Ardmore somewhere between 430 and 530...she absolutely abhors super-long beer lines...and brutal heat...how painful does everyone expect this line to be?

The three worst lines we've ever experienced were Bissell Bros, Hill Farmstead, and Tree House. HF was her breaking point, she never wanted to do an epic beer line again...

If you arrive between 4:30-5:30 p.m., I am fairly certain your wife will consider the line very long and very painful, like wrapped-around-the-block long and painful.
