    It should be von Trapp.

    Excellent Lagers out of Vermont.

    Edit: And 50k barrel capacity.

When Toppling Goliath completes their brewery expansion, they're going to be a mini-monster.

I feel like if Kane had a big canning or bottle line with at least regional distro. Itd be them

My hope is that less is more is approached more often on another note. Its a lot harder to have a great kolsch/saison/vienna etc.... than i feel it is in comparison to an unfiltered hop bomb.

Well, yeah, but that's not how it works, obviously...

They have pretty good distro right now, I see them in tons of beer stores here in Mass and NH, I think in total they distro to all of New England and New York.
With their quality products and price point they can certainly catch on in the realm of a craft alternative to BMC.

From what I've had, they are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to American-made lagers, definitely elite level. I just meant that a brewery won't get 'hype' or 'buzz' unless it makes hoppy/BBA beers, unfortunately (maybe sours, too)- it's only quality within a pretty narrow framework that does it.

I am excited that they are coming to CT (at least that is what I heard).

Cooperage in Santa Rosa. Their hoppy offerings are out of this world. If I'm in that area I don't bother with RR anymore unless I want sours.

Unfortunately I agree with you, since they don't seem to brew the "whalez" that everybody are hunting. My hope for them is that their distribution increases will help them reach bigger markets and once people try them, they would see that lagers really are something to be cherished.
But in terms of quality, they are IMO the only brewery to really nail the malt profile for their helles and pils that you get from German/Czech lagers. Definately elite level.

Carolina Bauernhaus has surprised me with the quality of the beers that I have tried so far, worthy of a try if you find them down in Anderson S.C.

you beat me too it. their east coasts ipas show alot of promise, excited to see what some refinement does.

Seems like many breweries being named on this thread are breweries that are already being traded for across the nation. Only one on here i have never heard of is Foam, excited to try and track some down.

Their other beers are decent but nothing mind blowing, but Upstate Brewing's Double IPA is a hazy, juicy tropical hop bomb. If enough word gets out about it, it might become a whale.

I finally had some Veil beer and now I know what a crackhead feels like. Must have more. I am just curious how fast they can grow.

Well if the beers are like crack I am sure that there will be no lack of customers. Whether they can fulfill the crack-like demand I have no idea.

    Cheers!

Hoof Hearted and The Brew Gentlemen. Both very Treehouse/Trillium-esque. In a blind taste test I'd never know the difference between the 4.

Just bought Von Trapp sampler 12 pack yesterday (16.99). Tried the pilsner last night and the Helles today. Thought the Pilsner was great, the Helles was special. The Helles is probably a top 10 beer for me this year (4.5). The fact that this beer is not even rated an average of a four is crazy.

Pumped to try their other two lagers.

Great price and readily available. My only concern is not enough people buy them and it becomes hard to get fresh or package stores stop stocking them. I would not have been on the lookout for them if not for threads like this and others that spoke highly of them.
