This one recently came to town. . .


Appearance: Clear deep amber, which is rather fetching. White cap, average lacing.

Aroma: Earthy, spicy hops with solid malt underneath. Makes a good first impression.

Taste: Hmm, malt core, hop overlay, malt seems to hit the palate first but hops immediately follow leaving the impression both arrived simultaneously, yet they didn't. The hops have a deep, earthy, root vegetable quality that is tasty in some fundamental sort of way. I'm sure that's the Cluster hops though I don't recall having tasting them with such intensity before. A beer drinker's beer, not for the Bud Light group.

Texture: Medium

Overall: Good effort here, worth a try. For the price it's not enough of a step up for me to make it a regular but I would certainly accept one if offered and I could offer one without embarrassment.

5.8% alcohol. 35 IBU. Introduced in 2016. Sold in cans and on draft.

My favorite local stop on Saturdays, Bellefonte Brewing, only 5 minutes from home! Going all over the place with the beers, Tart Saison, kettle soured so it's not funky but great tart fruit flavors, Dirty Side Black Rye IPA, great malt profile and a nice classic hop flavor, Claymonster Golden Strong Ale, very similar to their Tripel but touch more of a bubblegum quality from the yeast, and finally High and Wired Coffee Stout of nitro, near perfect as for a 5% stout, cheers!

Drinking a very refreshing high ABV Mosaic Saison from my favourite local Bristol Brewery in the UK. Never fail to deliver.

 

Got all my weekend chores done right on time, as I was expecting Todd to drop by. Cheers!
