Good morning BA, have a great Sunday!

Tasting insane, one of the best batches I’ve had yet. Flavors of bright grapefruit, tangerine, mango, pineapple, lemon/orange peel, dank pine, herbal, floral, and grassy hop; with some light caramel/bready malt balance; and a sticky resinous pine/citrus rind dry bitter finish. Wow, glad I got a few packs.

World class amazing brown ale. Flavors of nutty roasted coffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, and light smoke/dark fruit; with some herbal/woody hop and coffee characteristics. Light herbal and roasted coffee bitterness; full-ish body creamy mouthfeel, with some sticky/chalky roast notes as well. Light roasted dryness. One of the most coffee forward beers I've ever had for sure. Huge on fruity/nutty coffee complexity; and the base brown ale is spot on as well. Need to make sure and get more before it's gone.

November batch is tasting fantastic. Flavors of caramel, raisin, cherry, fig, date, vanilla, toffee, brown sugar, bourbon, toasted oak, and light molasses/coconut. Balancing bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish against sweetness; lightly warming finish with minimal booziness. Always delicious. One of my favorite barleywines for sure, English style is the best kind.

I am really dragging this morning, so it is time for the most pointless, lopsided side by side ever, for teh lulz. Coffee Framinghammer is so damn good, wish I picked up more than 2.

I should keep the table in our backyard clean like this more often. It looks like the walnut flavor in the beer is help it to float there. Oro Negro from Jackie O's. Great walnut flavored stout. If this is something you like, or think you like, check out Raised Grain's walnut stout the next time you pass through Milwaukee.

Also, here's some knowledge for ya

Melvin 2X4 canned May 5th. Experiment of sorts. Put it in the fridge, took it out in variable temperature environment. To see if it can take the punishment. I'm pleased to say that it is no weakling; it took the licking and keeps on ticking.

Good morning all. We are going back to Chicago today for the Chicago Food Festival and to see the Chinese Terra Cotta warriors at the Field Museum. First, a pick me up - Supplication (022316):

Such a great sour ale. Funky barnyard, sour cherries and drinks like a Brut champagne. Enjoying every sip.

The Violent Femmes, from Thursday, which I mislabeled in last night's post. A totally awesome show from the third row. Cheers!

Lots of sport on today that, as a Brit, I'm supposed to be interested in. Drinking a nice lager and watching Wimbledon at the moment (and trying to convince myself that I'm not supporting Andy Murray). Then it's the Euros tonight (I will do my best to convince myself that I'm not supporting France). Enjoy your day BAs. Cheers.
