    How was it? I opened 3 in a row a week or so ago and all were infected. Batch 224 and bottled in August '15. If your bottle was good then I'm guessing it was bottled in December.

    Finished up mudding, sanding, and wiping down walls this morning at about 1:00 AM, so I guess this technically was my first beer of the day. It was one of the most refreshing beers I've had and was perfect for the moment. Today it's priming and painting and I have yet to pick out my first, well, second beer of the day.

    2014 is tasting insane! Flavors of big caramel, toast, toffee, brown sugar, brown bread, molasses, raisin, plum, fig, apple, and date; with lighter notes of licorice, leather, tobacco, and herbal hops. Light herbal bitterness an tannic oak spice on the finish. Full bodied creamy mouthfeel with light slickness. Super smooth sipping with minimal warming ABV. Top tier English barleywine across the board for me.
