Happy Monday BA's! Had a couple big beers last night while watching Lethal Weapon on Netflix for the first time in probably 20 years. All four are currently streaming. Also trying to figure out how to make pics the right size for the thread... this old dog you know  Cheers everyone have a great week!

This beer pours yellow with a healthy haze and a stream of bubbles to sport a thin white head that falls fast. In a more demure light it has the color of the ripe peach. Nose is dynamic! Lots of peach. It's though you are holding it in your hand. Peach fuzz and little skin, the part of the pit that has all the red stuff as you eat it. Crisp. not overly ripe, and earthy bold black tea that gives the scent of berries. Hops are a light cool herbal . It's as though they whimsically added the leaves at the top of a stem onto a perfect peach. The malt is a nice cracker. A bit hearty. The beer drinks perfectly. The malt envelops the palate creamy, crisp and with enough weight to bring your attention to how much flavor there is from the fruit but no sugary feeling or flavors. Light crisp peach and lots of earth as the black tea brings dryness. So that the beer finishes with the malt round and with plenty of crackery flavor that tickles the palate as it goes to the finish with a light flourish from both the tea and hops bitter. A faint sweetness and all that flavor end it. Expert!

I rarely post music links but seeing how I'm listning to this while drinking this beer it only seems appropriate. Seeing these guys for the fourth time next month. No one covers The Man in Black better.

    Cheers!

Something uncomplicated to complement lunch . . .

Appearance: Light gold, white cap with good lace.

Aroma: Creamy malt, not sweet, creamy, as in slightly rounded, slightly sweet, yet both together. Bit of spicy hops.

Taste: Very nice malt cake with hop icing. Listed as a Klosch and that works for me. Slightly spicy tartness, clean finish, no aftertaste.

Texture: Wouldn't call it medium but it's certainly not thin.

Overall: This a pleasant lightweight that punches a bit above it's class. More of a food accompaniment than stand alone refreshment but it can do that as well. It really doesn't do much more than Miller High Life but has much better manners.

I was wondering when the first Pokemon picture would pop up on BA. There are people all over my neighborhood looking for Pokemon because I live by a pond. Cheers.

Are you in Charleston?! My hometown!!! I love COAST, great beer, even nicer people. I visited them a few weeks ago, I was in town for a couple days, they hooked me up. Their BA Blackbeerd is still one of my top BA Imperial Stouts, after all these years.

Yeah, I saw many of my 30 something year old friends posting about it on Facebook, figured I would see what they were him hawin' about. Pokemon was after my childhood, so I'm aware of it, but not really versed in it. I played with my 5 yr old daughter yesterday, she loved it. I like that it promotes exercise (at least more than most Americans get).

Funny story, my wife and I were at the store yesterday. Our clerk was a younger girl, early 20's. I jokingly asked her if she had seen any Pokemon around the store, she got all excited and told me she had gotten 1 in the blood pressure chair and another on aisle 3, haha! She was asking me Pokemon questions, I had no idea what she was talking about.
