I think it was summer/fall of either '11 or '12 when they released Key Lime, Peaches, Shorts Cake, Kolsch, Wizard, Aorta, Mystery, and three or four other great beers. Damn, I miss college!!

Mystery was in a variety pack a couple years ago. Had Black Diamond, Gingersnap and snow wheat, if I remember right. Coulda been chocolate wheat. I remember really liking that winter variety pack, though.

Yeah that was one of their first variety packs. Believe it or not, Mystery was a special 6pk release back in the day. Hopefully they will put it back in rotation.

We really cannot say, this beer is unpredictable but always slow. It is why we originally cut it as fermentation can take anywhere from 3-5 weeks. Looks like we will be near the end off that. It is throwing off the schedule for sure and Power of Love may come out before it now.

Some classics will definitely be back in 2017 or before. I cannot answer each one individually because to be honest it is not decided. What is on the website is actually what we know right now. We have ideas beyond that but nothing is final. Oh and one thing.. There is one addition not on the website that is a specialty August Release. It is one we have never bottled before. More details coming out in the next week or so...

Tried Power of Love and Rosie Palmer at the brewpub today and they are absolutely crushable summer beers. Certainly sweet but literally perfect as far as refreshing and low abv goes. Went back and grabbed more for some Bellaire golfing later this week.

Are there any places near Ann Arbor that would have the latest limited releases? I am heading there today for a wedding.

There are two Plum Markets in A2, one on Plymouth and one on Maple (depending on which side of town you'll be on). They'll have the limited releases. Same with Buschs, I think they have a couple locations out that way. Whole Foods, too (one on Eisenhower and one on Washtenaw)

I use https://www.beermenus.com/ for all my beer searching needs~ Great app/site for those establishments that use it.

Type in a zip code or beer name you are looking for~

Hey @HopHeadHerman, just checking what's on tap and there's one Hoppin' the Cherry that sounds like Pan Galactic but brewed with cherries. Is it kinda close to that?

Short's Brewing Co. Announces Release of Psychedelic Cat Grass - Without Delay IPA

Elk Rapids, Mich. – Short’s Brewing Company of Bellaire and Elk Rapids, MI announces distribution of Psychedelic Cat Grass, a triple dry hopped American India Pale Ale. Billed as a “Without Delay IPA,” Short’s plans to package and distribute the beer within 24 hours; allowing customers to enjoy this beer on the same day it was packaged, resulting in out-of-this world freshness.

The brewery describes Psychedelic Cat Grass as a triple dry hopped American India Pale Ale first brewed for HopCat. Aromas of pineapple, mango, and grapefruit accompany the brew’s slightly hazy, pale orange color and lasting white head. A dry finish is preceded by balanced flavors of tropical fruit and bitter hops.

The idea to package and distribute a beer in one day came from Short’s Partner, Scott Newman-Bale. “We originally talked about executing this at our pub only, but in true Short's fashion we decided to push ourselves further and extend this to the state of Michigan and beyond. Why not go all in and see just how psychedelic we can get?!”

According to Newman-Bale, the company plans to send Psychedelic Cat Grass to any of their current distributors willing to take on the challenge of same day distribution. So far this includes Short’s longtime Michigan distributor, Imperial Beverage. Full distribution information will be posted on Short’s website at a later date. Psychedelic Cat Grass will also be served on tap at Short’s Bellaire pub and for sale in bottles at the pub and Short’s Mart, Short’s Bellaire “brewtique.”

Psychedelic Cat Grass will be distributed in six-packs of 12 oz bottles and a limited number of kegs on August 17th, 2016. The label artwork for this IPA is three dimensional and each six-pack includes its own pair of 3D glasses. An earlier batch of Psychedelic Cat Grass will be served on tap at the Michigan Brewers Guild 2016 Summer Beer Festival in Ypsilanti, MI on July 22nd and 23rd, at Tribes Beer Fest held at Tribes Alehouse in Chicago, IL on July 23rd, and at HopCat locations.
