Just saw Kendall post on FB about this brewery, and, (again) it's another brewery I'd never heard of. Can't recall seeing it mentioned here. Anybody been? Thoughts?

A buddy of mine went right after they opened. He said the food was good but the beer needed help.

Great location outside the Beacon Hill light rail station, though.

Another newish place is Ravenna Brewing behind Univeristy Village. Great space and much needed in NE Seattle (because not all breweries North of the cut need to be in Ballard). I dig their peach Hef but the hoppy beers still need to get dialed in. Too malty and medicinal.

There's also Hellbent on Lake City Way. Huge space (serious capital dumped into it) and much better beers.

I've stopped in a couple times. The food is spot on and easily the highlight. The beers range from odd to slightly above average. The odd ones were what stood out to me - roasted pepper IPA, honey ginger stout, cherry saison, etc. Not bad, but definitely out there. I think they're brewing small batches as they seem to run through things pretty quickly.

As noted, right across the street from the light rail station, so easily accessible. Seems to be mostly a neighborhood crowd, great patio on two sides.

I will echo what has already been said:
    - great food
    - very cool location/atmosphere
    - decent beer

one of those places that is definitely worth a visit at least one time and then again if you are in the area but not one i would say you should go too far out of the way to get to as the beer is not on the level of many of the seattle breweries IMO.

Yeah, Kendall was raving about the burger on FB, and mentioned that they have a cook who used to work at a BBQ place, and that they smoke all their meat on-site.

Went there on opening day and I thought the beer was pretty bad and the food was incredible
