Other Half Brewing (July 2016)

What time do we think MGN and DMD will sell out today. Heading back from a vacation in RI today and won't be able to get there til the afternoon. Not holding my breath. Traveling back with a suitcase full of Trillium cans.

I'm only a bit up garnet and didn't get a wristband for all citra. Truly is a small batch I guess.

 

Ugh, in my excitement to catch a bus, I caught a b57 going the opposite way. When is this F work supposed to be done?!?

 

this place sucks it's 820 and I'm 4 blocks around. seriously....

Also just missed the wristbands. Anyone have experience getting cans as one of the first dozen or so post-wristbands? Based on people not getting full allotments?

 

Hoped some would last until noon-1ish. Are wrist bands for ACE allocation ?

Correct. In the words of the dudes who walked thru handing out wristbands, they have "tons" of DMD and MGN. Basically anyone who's lined up right now post-wristbands could have waited until 11 for a 5 min in-and-out pickup.

I really don't get the idea behind getting up so early and standing on a line that's blocks long for hours just to get a beer when another batch is coming it every two weeks and a lot if this is also available on tap with no wait. Long lines fuel the hype with in turn causes longer lines. I'll be cruising in to pick up my Threes purchase at about 12. Maybe I'll stop in for a growler and if any cans are left, nice.

 

I woke up in the wee hours and tossed and turned over the idea of making the hour long drive out to Other Half this morning. Since I've already had all of the beers being canned today I decided to sit this one out. Took a bike ride down to the south shore and did some surfcasting this morning with no regrets. Way too nice of a day to be waiting in line for hours. Might trade for a few cans or just look for them on tap.

 

ACE reduced to 2-4 packs per person.

 

I decided to sit this one out because I've been in the mood for beers around 6%-7% abv. How hot it's been made me not want double IPAs but that can change if they post in the afternoon that they have "x" amount of beer left
