Tickets purchased, I'm going. Hopefully I can get my 2oz pour of BBAREIS and be happy I saved myself $50.

They going to get the parking lot across the street again? That really helped last time.

I am going too. Super excited. I, also, did not get the tickets for the beer. 50$ is too rich for my blood.

My wife is going too and she is not much of a drinker so I should be able to snag half her samples.

Thinking about going, was hoping to get some bottle too, but i am not at all interested in a a $50 12oz of any beer! The tap list looks super though! definitely worth going for.

What is the $50 that a couple folks mentioned above? I see the $40 to get a ticket, but wasn't sure what the $50 was referring to.

The 50.00 is the cost of the 375ml bottles they are selling, limit one of each. That's right, 50.00 for a 12 ounce bottle of beer.

I'm pretty sure the $3 fee for each ticket is donated to charity. With that said I see your point.

Yes, it goes directly to charity...So no, its not a money grab.

Also, that was such a smooth release, I hope Kuhnhenn does this for every release..Was a total homerun

The extra $3 isn't a money grab, but it does mean that the total cost for a 375 mL bottle is up to $53(!), which feels real crazy.

Hey, that's exactly a case* left, for just a cool $1,272.

    * - Or it would be if they were normal 12oz bottles, which I know they aren't.

I tasted the Raspberry Eisbock last year at Summer Solstice. I actually got it free because some drunk guy bought pours of it for a bunch of us in line. It was gross - all four of us in my party thought the exact same thing. Unless the pour I had was different than it's supposed to be, I'll have to scratch my head to figure out why someone would pay $50 for a bottle of it.

Raspberry Eisbock isn't for everyone. That being said, these bottles are different. This will be the first time ever they've released a bourbon barrel aged eisbock. There are three different variants as well. Regular eisbock (no fruit), raspberry, and blueberry. I'm very excited for the party and the bottles.

No beer (or anything for that matter) is for everyone - we all have different palates. Usually if I have a group of 4, there will be someone that likes a certain beer, though - this one was the worst beer we each had that night at the Solstice. I'd be intrigued to taste the BBA version, but that's because I'm up for at least trying pretty much any beer. The regular raspberry eisbock was so sweet (it reminded me of these hard raspberry candies with a soft center that I grew up eating around the holidays) that I can't imagine how much sweeter it could be with bourbon barrel aging...and I'm generally someone with a very sweet tooth! All that said, I hope you are pleased with your purchase once you get around to tasting it.

That's ridiculous. A 750ml bottle of it would be $100.....Unless eisenbock means liquid gold in German...

The good thing is you can taste it at the anny party first and then decide if you want to buy bottles or not.

Nope they are sold out minus 20 of the blueberry. This is a new beer for kuhnhenn and for all we know could be infected or taste terrible. It's a gamble for sure.

You have until 10pm Sunday to pay for the bottles. So, I can try them at the party the day beforehand. It's only a $3 loss (charity) so not much of a gamble
