Going old school with this English classic. Subtle notes of chocolate, coffee, and molasses, punctuated by yummy fruity esters of plums, figs, and sour cherries. Paired with pretzels, the be-all, end-all of snacks to pair with beer.

saranac uses tettnang and a combination of cluster, belma and cascade. The belma hop is not responsible for the american or citrusy taste I don't think. The belma hop has only the lightest tropical scent and not much flavor in this beer when they originally put it out.
