Likely because it was canned days ago, not the morning of release, the yeast actually had time to fluctuate out.

Konkey was good, but I want to try it on a fresh palate. We finally got our cans around 3:30 or so once the line went away (arrived at 11am). It seemed a tad on the sweet side from what I remember, but again, having a few lambics/sours and other stuff before may have influenced that. Aroma is amazing, that's for sure.

When I did finally grab my cans, they only had jacuzzi left on draft. Probably why most people left lol

We left around 6pm... As usual. Arrive early, leave late.... Enjoy time with good friends. Best way to enjoy Hoof!

I was going to post that I spoke with the brewer and was told it was EWS Simcoe. Then the event was just posted on FB for this Sunday!

Can't wait, love Simcoe. This is the EWS I am most excited for out of all of them so far (except for maybe Citra).

After EWS Simcoe, I'm assuming an "off" week (which would be the last weekend of the month based on the typical 3 weeks on, 1 off), Tickling the Ivories IPA, and the Horchata Collab. You never know with this brewery though.

We still have yet to see this, which was brewed at the brewpub AFAIK.

I was at the brewpub Saturday. Food was pretty bad, especially for the price. Beers were so so. As far as the space goes, I kinda liked it.

Doesn't seem to be generating much interest. I'm guessing it's partly due to the recent release of EWS Idaho 7, and partly due to yesterday's big release, which I keep hearing was pretty obnoxious. The most important distinction, however, may be the fact that there isn't a videogame character on the label :grimacing:

Just wanted to say that out of the 970 different beers I've had, Konkey Dong is tied for number 1 with Bissell Swish. This stuff is great, way better than the last canning imo.

I'm of the opinion that the small releases are the way to go. From what I've seen, none of the "experimental" releases (Jacuzzerooski, EWS variants, etc.) in the past three months have sold out. Evergreen beers (SOE, Blabe, KD) sell out and are a madhouse.

Hopefully with higher capacity, they'll be able to do more double releases (a la Bulgin' Musk + Rose Gose) like Tired Hands. I would love to see evergreen beers paired with an experimental one.

Could agree more, two releases helps out those smaller beers! Anyone getting a ticket for Simcoe? I believe I will since I have never had any of the Everyone Wants Some releases.

Yep, I will be there again all day I am sure. I am not the biggest EWS fan (aside from Citra), but I got high hopes for Simcoe. Plus, I'd go hang out there even if there wasn't a release... lol

I've enjoyed the EWS series - it's a good representation of the HH IPA. I do wonder how much longer they plan to go with these variants... Galaxy and Mosaic would get my attention.

People were complaining about the release being obnoxious? I showed up around 12:45p, made a bottle swap, then got my cans and a pint of KD. Took about 30 mins. Growler line was a bit longer. Had to park down the road but spots in main lot were opening up every few minutes as people left. Saw a few shares going on. Some people with dogs. Some people with kids. Some people eating pirogies. Pretty damn chill IMO. I had a worse experience getting a table at First Watch that morning for breakfast.
