Well now that a box has landed on my porch this afternoon I understand why I had not clued into who my sender was. (and why my Target never clued into my hints.) My sender: @Greeny87 I was under the impression that we were not paired with back-and-forth target/senders, but maybe this had to happen to even out the round in some way. @Yourahoser Sorry for my potato quality picture right now, but after I tore through 8 layers of clown car packaging this is what I arrived at! Allagash - Uncommon Crow: A Brett fermented ale with Blackberries, very excited for this, love Allagash Forest & Main - Feather Walker: Another Forest & Main saison to add to my tummy! Tired Hands - Sticky Drippy Crystals: a Biere de Miel style saison with lots of wheat and honey - Do Want Tired Hands - Ourison: oak-aged saison that is a permawant for me. 2SP Brewing - Dead of Night Saison (oak barrel aged saison) and The Russian (RIS) - never heard of these guys but looking forward to trying them out. Lovely Pizza Boy glass although no Pizza boy beers in the box (unless my suspicions about the crowler are correct) 2 mystery beers, one of which is a Crowler Unfortunately the crowler seems to have leaked a little bit but it seems like it will be ok. Thanks for a really cool Pennsylvania BIF box, Andrew!
Drink the crowler asap. The other bottle you can sit on for a bit if you want. I had intended to toss in 1-2 other bottles but had a last minute biz trip this week. I hope you enjoy the box, it seemed to fit your style and was the best bottled items I could gather in the region. I opted for a bit better quality over quantity here as you've had a ton of stuff from my area. 2SP is a top notch brewery. That Russian recipe has won countless gold medals / medals at world beer cup and GABF under another breweries name...
Not shipping to @MTKATL I finally went through the hints and was able to rule out all but one. @Steban is at the top of my list.
Box is out and on its way to Peoria. I took the liberty of calling a local contractor there to request porch repair. (hopefully the beer gets there without issues)
Second wrapped can from @narddawg314. Very roasty, slight acrid edge, some chocolate undertones, a bit of coffee coming through, as well as earthy hops. Not sure what brewery around Missouri makes something like this.
Some of you all know that we have our 1-year anniversary of the Newbies coming up soon. So what I wanted to was run a 1-year anniversary LIF that will in actuality affect 3 Newbies - my target, the LIF winner and myself. This is an idea semi-borrowed from The Locals but with a slightly different twist. This is Newbies Murder/Marry/Screw Above I have 3 beers more or less picked at random from my Floridian cellar. First beer is No Rules, second is Nocturn Chrysalis, third is Enlightened Despot. 1 beer I will drink (within 3 days of Newbies anniversary) is the Marry beer, 1 beer will go to my target (Murder beer), and the last beer will go to winner of the LIF (Screw beer). Reply or tag which beer should be which. I'll close this on Friday. The LIF will be shipped prior to 1st anniversary date (August 27th). Winner will be picked by at random. Thanks everyone for all that you do.
I didn't think they all had to be local so I threw in one of my favorites. Just started canning it as far as I know. I really enjoy that beer, and hope you did too!
