Really like the new system with the prefilled crowlers. Didn't get there early enough to get any, but there was no crowd or wait at the bar since the staff was only doing pours and not fills. Before today, I hadn't been to Aslin since March and I think the new system is much improved. Kudos to the staff.

What time did you get there?

About 1:15. A friend I was with asked the bartender about crowlers and was told they sold out about an hour after opening.

I'm afraid that's going to be the norm for a while...

Indeed, but a much better system than selling out of everything in one day and leaving nothing for people who just want to have a pint or two. More people are able to enjoy their beer now.

Apparently not this guy though. What an asshole. Doesn't check social media feeds, yet complains about it on Twitter. The irony is strong here > https://twitter.com/Aslin_BeerCo/status/756957057308393472

I love the "Sorry you felt you had a bad experience..." response. I'm also unclear on how you drive 30 mins out of your way to arrive at a place you did not know existed.

I went to aslin this past saturday and arrived right before open. The wait from arrival to drinking a beer with 3 crowlers was exactly 1 hour. quite pleased, honestly.

It sounds like to me, based on current demand vs. supply for Aslin IPAs(and keeping same beer inventory for a couple days on tap at a minimum) Aslin should decide to switch to a 1 crowler per beer per person instead of current 2 crowler per beer limit. 100% increase in reach of population and also in time you can drink the beer on tap (assuming muling doesn't increase 100% to offset).

Has anyone had the most recent batches of RAR Nanticoke Nectar - canned 7/11 & 7/19? I always thought it was an ok IPA, but my god these recent batches are A+. Juicy, tropical & dank. Have they changed the recipe at all? It tastes so much better than it did before.

I don't know this for a fact, but I suspect a possible change in yeast.

    Definately possible.

@rarbrew Have there been any changes to Nanticoke Nectar recently? Really curious about this because I can't stop drinking the 6'ers you are sending to Downtown Crown.

Any issues with the latest batch of wings cans? Im a little shy after the space reaper debacle.

Saw a stack at YES on barracks row, not going to touch it. Been burned by them too many times.

I got a growler last week that was excellent. Still wasn't tempted to risk the cans, and I don't think that's going to change any time soon, unfortunately.

The Nanticoke Nectar cans I had back in April weren't good at all. Had a weird roasted malt thing going on.

Always making small tweaks to our baby. We're never satisfied no matter how good we think something is. Same house yeast strain we've always used though. Can't thank you enough for the kind words brother!!

Had some earlier in july at meridian pint, for the first time ever i believe, and then the grapefruit variant at churchkey and they were both phenomenal. the wife, who usually hates ipas, loved them too.
