I just left with my preorder and also bought some Unreliable Narrator from the last release at the bar. So yes.

I agree dude. I was amazed. And I also had Hecto by Suarez family. Its a pale ale... probably one of the beSt tasting pale ales I've had. My wife hates sitting next to me when I try an amazing beer. I go into an uncontrollable dance

    Both so good.

There you are reminded me of HF double Galaxy.

If Threes cans There You Are, I'll buy a case and skip the next two OH releases. I really like the hassle free releases.

I don't mean to rain on any parades, but it's only hassle free until the cans don't sell out online quicker than a hiccup. I wonder how many people who call this "hassle free" tried to participate in ANTEAD this year. Also, let's speculate what would happen with Grimm can sales online...

I pretty much posted the same thing, also using ANTEAD as an example when they first announced this. Basically everyone said that until Threes is selling a world class barrel aged imperial stout then we don't have to worry about the online sales selling out in seconds. I'll enjoy this while it lasts anyway.

...at least I don't have to wait 3hours on line for cans. Waiting on line sucks.

Grimm online would be easy. They could just have specific limits per order, per credit card. Tons of online retailers do this kinda thing already. Here's how it would go:

    1. Log onto Grimmales.com/buybeer
    2. Choose the beers you want to buy. In this scenario I chose Afterimage and Lambo Door.
    3. Hey look a little disclaimer that reads, "In the interest of fairness and allowing as many people to try our beers as possible, we've limited orders of Afterimage and Lambo Door to 2 4-packs per order per beer. We're continuously overwhelmed by the love the local beer community shows our beers, and we'll definitely up per person allotments once we start brewing with more capacity in the future. Thanks for understanding. Signed, Joe & Lauren Grimm.
    4. I think, "oh wow what a nice note. I totally understand Grimm is hard to come by, and most of the most sought after beers have 2-3 4-pack limits (Other Half, TH (both of them), Bissell, etc.) ... I'm just excited to try these beers again and online ordering is so easy."
    5. I proceed with my order.
    6. I get a confirmation that says thanks for ordering with information about what times I can go to the new Grimm spot in Williamsburg to pick up my order.
Yes, Threes is newer on the scene, and not hyped up nearly to Grimm or other type of levels, but as long as their servers hold up (I think all these brewers use Squarespace for their sites and e-commerce, so that should be fine, too) I don't see why ordering Grimm online would be much different.

Lol. I think his point is that Grimm can sales online would sell out in .5 seconds and therefore not be "hassle free." You certainly seem to have had some fun with your post though. So there's that?

I think it would be better for Grimm to just get themselves a brewery. Make enough beer to sell in house and to distribute enough throughout the boroughs. Online ordering for them wouldn't work in my opinion. Too much hype.

I asked the guy at the can pickup table. He said maybe a bottle and then they may take a short break. There you are should definitely be canned. Or Day of the dead again (I missed the 1st canning.)

Finally got to check the place out yesterday. Man, was it swamped when we were there! I wasn't expecting that at 3pm, but I guess people are catching on to how good they are. We could barely find a place to stand in the bar area. (Besides outside, but that wasn't happening with the 100+ heat index.)

I picked up my cans, had a pour of There You Are (amazing), then headed out. Really would have liked to stay longer and try all the other brews on offer, but will save that for another, less crowded visit (not on a weekend!)

I was there around 2:30 to pick up cans. Was pretty crowded but the backyard was empty (obviously due to the heat) so there was no open seat in the place. I really hope they get more attention. Having tried Constant Disappointed, I Hate Myself and Unreliable Narrator last night, I'm sold on them. Great stuff.

I'm probably in the minority, but I enjoy There You Are more than anything Other Half is pouring right now. After visiting Threes I stopped at OH and tried ACE, Debbie Downer, DMD, MGN...all good, but There You Are tastes better.

Exactly, right now supply exceeds demand,if that flips, the in person shit show turns into an on-line shit show. The upside of on-line shit show is not having to wait hours in a line.

Hopefully the preponderance of great local beer evens out the demand and it is relatively easy to get beer you want. Trillium is a great example now, world class beer that is easily obtainable if you live in the area.

you must be new to online hyped releases.

see: ANTEAD, any funk factory release, a lot of the speedway variants, veritas, DDG, FO, huna day....could probably go on for a while...

Yeah the week-ends can be very crowded. Esp when all the stroller pushers are there.
