This was posted on Rick Bonino's beer blog (best place for local beer news in my neck of the woods) on Saturday the 23rd: "...Twelve String next week will begin bottling five of its beers in 22-ounce bottles – Mango Mambo, Red Guitar Red, Batch 201 IPA, Electric Slide imperial IPA and Drop D Stout – with product expected in area stores the following week." Twelve String/12-String (their spelling seems to be inconsistent where their name is concerned) was, if I recall correctly, the first brewery to open in the Spokane area since No-Li (Northern Lights in those days) outlasted all the local places from the first wave of microbreweries, with the possible exception of Steam Plant (who were a Washington-based satellite of Coeur d'Alene Brewing in those days). I believe they were the first to do any barrel-aging locally, and generally always have some sort of barrel-aged concoction on hand at their taproom. Here's a more thorough write-up by Rick that appeared in the Spokesman early in the month. http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2016/jul/07/on-tap-12-string-readies-for-bottle-release/
Actually, Golden Hills (now Orlison) and Budge Brothers (RIP) opened before Twelve (or 12) String, but Terry has definitely made his mark with the barrel stuff plus a nice selection of IPAs and other offerings. And yes, the bottling began today: https://twitter.com/12StringBeer/status/758062235881050114
I guess if I really thought about it, I would have realized Golden Hills pre-dated 12 String, but I didn't realize Budge Bros. did. And, yes, I saw the fb post about Batch 201 being bottled today - actually the catalyst for this thread. That one I'm especially looking forward to. It and Head Butt are pretty much my two standards when it comes to local IPAs.
