I think I'll be ready for some Overhead by fall. Glad to hear it's going to be available in 2016. Now, let's get some Head High this weekend, please.

Was hoping for early fall instead but very pumped! Hopefully HH is available regularly in cans til then. Or my fave of the bunch - HL Citra - shows up :grinning:

Is anyone else kind of disappointed in Kane's lack of variety? For a while it's kinda been the same old story with a HH release or the occasional bottle release (which are always stellar, I know.)

I'm definitely with you. They make some great beers, but hardly ever rotate their draft selection. Seems like the same stuff comes up over and over. And while bottle releases are great they are few and far between

I go back and forth on this. I love being able to get beer I love all the time. I like knowing I can always rely on Head High and can get it whenever I want. I hate breweries that just continually brew new beers and never return to the "core" beers. I think it's a fine balance and I think for the most part Kane does pretty well. They put a new beer up on tap every week, it may not be brand new all the time but it's something that we might not see for a while.

As far as cans go. I don't think we will ever see Kane put beer in sticker or wrapped cans so those will always beer the classics in printed cans.

That galaxy head high bottle was a nice suprise, they should go that way more like carton did with the bunch of different ohdub variants and hit us with a bunch of new head high ones every other month

What you're seeing could be the effect of expansion. Not that long ago they renovated the secondary space. Not that long ago they added tanks. Not that long ago they added a dedicated bottling line. Not that long ago they added a dedicated canning line. These take time and manpower to work out the kinks. No shock then that the product would be that which they feel 100% confident in producing given the climate they are in.

Even with the above, Head High cans are semi-regular; they dropped a bottle of a Head High variant; and, dropped a bottle of Sunday Brunch. (Heck, if we extend back to May, they also dropped a bottle of Sacre Coeur) If a bottle release every month with semi-regular Head High cans and up to 10 great taps each weekend is "same old story" I'm happy to keep reading that book.

While I enjoy some more than others, there hasn't been one beer I've tried from them that I thought was a miss. This is why they were my go-to Jersey brewery until Carton started canning so much.

Yo, that ANTEAD is the WORST. People should stop showing up for that one. It's just so bad. So, so bad. It's like people are being so facetious with their golden reviews for that beer. I just hope everyone follows suit and just doesn't show up for ANTEAD just to show Kane what's up.

Well said. I guess I just love to see the experimental side of brewers, that's all.

This batch of morning bell is ridiculous. Might say best it's ever been.

I was there Friday and finally snagged a 4 pack! Excited to try one tonight!

Was there catching up with a friend, I'm blown away and stoked that you can still get pours of Morning Bell! It's tasting amazing! Is it me or does HL Citra just keep getting better? Had it as my first pour and the bitterness is softer, super hoppy, tons of citrus, great feel for 5.2% and crushable.

Oh, and they need to close the doors and turn the AC on because I was uncomfortably hot and quite frankly sweating my bag off.

That place is so, so open it'd probably cool down by the time it's ready to close.

Weekends like this is where I smash and grab or try to maneuver into the small room with A/C.

During extreme summer or winter is when I usually wish they had a taproom separate to the brewery so it could be more comfortable. I didn't have this issue in the past year because last summer was a lot more mild, and so was the winter. About two years ago, it was just absolutely brutal, I think even women were sweating their bags off.

With that said, I'll be there today.

Would these extreme temp/humidity days affect the fermentation? I'd be curious how much those tanks are affected by the ambient temp in there.

None at all. The fermenters are glycol cooled, as are the bright tanks

I can't remember who it was, but to the guy who wanted the glass with the silver tip at the top - those are back in stock.
