That's especially amazing since it's now been one year since CBS was released in bottles for the first time.

Ya that's what I thought. I think what he was going for was that it took him two years to try KBS since the last time he saw it on the shelf (thus at least one year before seeing CBS on the shelf). Or at least, thats what I made of it.

In any event, my condolences since I can understand how frustrating passing on CBS would have been.

at FFF's 15th anni i was just past the table where the bb-aged DL's were for sale, having felt pretty good about snagging a Brandy, when someone announced that they'd just found a single case of Vanilla aged and put them out for sale. so close! oh, and i went to KtG day at 5am in 2010 and missed a bottle by about 3 people in line. had to go to class, so i didn't make it back to the brewery for a glass.

Worded poorly on my part. I've been looking for KBS for two years before I found it. I wasn't very familiar with Founders line ups, and basically confused CBS for their breakfast stout like an idiot. That was around a year ago, probably a little less. Saw CBS, looking for KBS, figured it was their regular breakfast stout put it back.

KBS I was told by my beer friends as one of the best (before I discovered BA) and was always on the lookout for it, but didn't know anything about CBS at the time. That clear it up?

Missed Parabola :slight_frown: I've had almost every other FW bottled beer from them.

I had Parabola get away when I was in Spokane, kicked myself hard for that, then found it in MA along with Fantome "regular" saison, which I have wanted to try forever. So, like a long lost love returned, only with bigger boobs and driving a Ferrari.

Gotcha, totally clear now. That's even more painful sounding on the CBS actually, totally understandable confusion with the Founders lineup names. Hope you get a chance to try it if you haven't yet, it's pretty excellent.

Thank you! As I'm reading through this thread with everybody mentioning how easy it is to get and only $9.99...I'm thinking...then hook the man up!

    Way to step-up, cheers!

Founders Blushing Monk.....Had to wait until payday...it was all gone by then

    Nemesis 2010....same as above.....

Founders CBS.... didn't get on a list, didn't really know how things really worked yet, Called 7 different stores and drove to probably 5 more all where already spoken for or I got the obligatory "we haven't gotten any yet" check back next week line.....which I know now translates into either they are not going to get it at all or I just don't want to sell you any.....

I've been to 2 different bars that had Odd Side Citra on tap, once I got to order it and they came over and told me they just kicked the keg, the other time as I was sitting down the bartender walked over and erased it from the chalkboard as they just kicked that keg too.

Too many times to count Ive been a day late and a dollar short on a tapping of KBS.... that's since been rectified though....

Last year it was TREAT, only grabbed one bottle, and saw it on the shelf for awhile. Went back to get a couple more and it was gone. Not going to happen to me this year.

Passed on two bottles of King Henry sitting on the shelf. I had already picked one up from another store and didn't want to be greedy... Dammit

BCBS rare. I bought a bottle when it was released for 50 bucks. I though it was insane and traded it away $4$ on vintage DFH. Rare is now my personal whale. It was in my god damn hands.....
