I doubt this will be the norm for every other saturday. For one, HPB doesn't do as frequent as releases as monkish does. And if the knowledge is correct, the next HPB won't be a re-release and thus, will get the Friday treatment.

 

I've seen stranger ISO:FTs.

Too bad you're down in SD I know of at least one DM here in LA who presides over a small group of beer nerds. Would be perfect.

 

We lost the only 2 DMs we enjoyed. First to moving, second to him running out of hit points IRL. All of the other good ones are taken so my campaigning has ceased a bit.

But yeah, will bring beer for immersive campaign. Have multiple character sheets ready or can create new or start at lvl1...don't care...just want to play again. Although ruleset chosen could be a deal breaker. A gamer has to have his standards somewhere. =P

As for the HPB IG pic, that's Bob from HPB. The "fresh" guy is simply a user posting in both IG announcements.

for HPB i don't understand the logic of Saturday so more people can have a chance to get it. but just for re-releases. why not all of them Saturdays then?

Looks like the other DIPA they were making that didn't quite meet canning expectations is on draft starting tonight with growler fills available.

From their instagram:

DAMFINO 2 7.0% IPA with Centennial and Citra hops. We took somewhat of a West Coast IPA recipe and brewed it more our style. Still has a Monkish IPA profile of soft, hoppy fruitiness, but a bit more dry. Yes to growler fills, but due to the popularity of Canceling Cats, we're running low on house growlers, so we're encouraging BYOG on draft tonight 4-9pm and this weekend, or until it's gone!

Edit: Actually not sure if this is the DIPA they had in the works or not after all. ABV seems a bit lower than their usual DIPA varietals.

 

Damfino is an IPA. And it's been on tap since Tuesday they just now announced it

 

I'd imagine it has a lot to do originally as to when the beer monk canning guys scheduled and Bob wanting to get them out as fast as possible as to the start of friday releases.

Also helps that since Saturday is a busier day for them at the bar than the same time on Friday. So why not avoid slamming the bar down with patrons when it wasn't needed.

 

My bad. Didn't know about it till their Instagram post today and didn't see anything in the thread so just wanted to relay the info for those not in the know.

Damfino II is incredible. The Citra and Centennial marriage is a brilliant pairing. One of the most fragrant noses of any of the Monkish IPAs to date.
