It's actually multiple different barrels from what Clark said on Twitter. He also said that for the taproom, there are 10 half barrel (16 gallon) kegs of Term Oil that will be tapped. Should last quite a while I'd think. He also mentioned it was in barrels about a year. Quote below:

"All. We have around 5 bourbon barrels we emptied for our #TermOil so the half barrels we have (10 for taproom) are going to last. Most of our #TermOil is not blended but from individual barrels. A few of the kegs are a blend of two barrels."

Also sounds like they might bottle more King Sue next week, so next weekend could be a HUGE taproom weekend for TG and beer nerds.

Just got a pour of it a few minutes ago. MD keg is still going. Rubaiyat closes at 1pm today, so it might make it until tomorrow even.

Did I miss it? What is Term Oil? Assassin that was leaking?

Unless they had 5 different barrels of Assassin that were all leaking at the same time that they decided to keg, then it's not Assassin.

It certainly mimics the taste of Assassin for me. Who knows what it is though.

Pretty interesting interview with Mike - here. (http://aleauteur.com/blog/)

Most interviews I see from TG they don't give actual informational answers, so this one is kind of cool. He confirms that SR71 is assassin base and that it was aged 25 or 26 months, the first time I've ever seen him or Clark say anything of substance about that beer publicly.

Of course it was Assassin base aged longer... That was information that *someone* divulged right away. It has been said in this thread multiple times.

No one from inside TG at the time would admit it was Assassin that had developed off flavors so they left it in barrels for another year. Luckily it worked out and became SR-71.

What does any of that have to do with this being from the horse's mouth and on record?

Because everyone knew who divulged that information, but folks with SR-71 to trade were doing whatever they could to make believe it wasn't true...

What's bolded is completely, 100% wrong. The beer in those barrels was always destined to be something different than Assassin.

What was it destined to be? SR-71 was the plan all along?
