Opening my 2nd wrapped beer from @MTKATL

Smells like a bourbon barrel Stout upon opening. Pours thick and black. Thin lacing of tan foam. A little cold but small aroma of chocolate, oak, and maybe dried fruit. Tastes smooth, some vanilla mid, and roasty finish late. Pretty nice thickness. Definitely an imperial stout, most likely bourbon barrel aged but not monster booze/barrel. 22 oz bottle. Probably not funky Buddah, since most are porters. Gonna guess Marshall zukhov from Cigar City

Reveal shows that I had the brewery correct but missed on the beer. A non-BA stout, but must have confused some adjuncts for hints of barrel. Can't believe I didn't pull out the coffee and vanilla! I blame the first pour being at cold fridge temp.

Cigar City Caffe Americano! New tick and a delicious beer. Really enjoyed that 2nd pour.

    Thanks Michael!

So, I feel like i got cheated out of the surprise element. I cut the top off the wrapping and poured the beer. But i didnt cut a lot off, as to not reveal too much of the can. In doing so, a little beer went dwn the side of the paper on the pour :slight_frown:. I didnt even need to unwrap it to recognizs the can!!

Thanks @corm44 for a great IPA, Jai Alai.

Winner of the CIF has been chosen by random number generator. No hints yet, but stalking has begun. I am traveling next week for work, so it looks like the following week will work to do some bombing.

    2nd challenge beer from @sembo...

can't tell by bottle shape, or cork/cage...
could be saison, wild or BA stout...

upon pour, def a wild ale, lots of fruit (lemony, maybe?)
... a rather drinkable sour, that isn't too overbearingly puckering.. and minimal abv and minimal funk... probably used to be a saison before souring with fruit. reminds me of cascade or rarebarrel - tho i recall those to be a bit more robust, and the bottles more hefty - or casey - tho ive only had a couple casey brews (lots of generosity, if so). ..but i'm gona guess east of the rockies, and stay somewhat close to the box's source... and go with Upland... Vinosynth White.

    ...and the reveal...

O'so - Arbre Qui Donne (barrel aged sour blonde with georgia peaches). ..sweeeet! i've been wanting to try an O'so!!! and i've been hearing good things about this particular brew, too ...it was peach!, it seemed more citrusy/lemony if anything. ....but like i said... very drinkable for a sour, and i'm impressed with this brewery tick! O'so gooood! thanks, again, @sembo.. i'll definitely even moreso be on the hunt for more O'so!

#VBS on IPA day from @brightcloud313
I used my Bell's Two Hearted glass knowing this was a MI IPA. Thin head with minimal carb. Definitely an IPA on the nose and a ton of citrus hop on the palate. Possible a double IPA based on mouthfeel. I'm guessing 7-8%. Overall a fantastic hoppy IPA. I'm going to guess Bell's Two Hearted. Unfortunately, the tape peeled off the label, so I'll have to wait to find out!

I generally only #vbs beers that I've received from within this group, but I had to show off how well these Newbies glasses turned out. Hit up @Elkevjoe if you haven't secured one yet, these are really cool!
