I actually never saw much of Stone PAv2.0. Maybe they should have done the cans with it....

Anyway I am excited to try this one. I love Pale Ales.

I loved the 2.0! But reading the article, I agree with Mr. Koch. If it is unsuccessful, try to move on and try something new. So excited to try the Ripper!

Looks like Ripper will be in 12oz cans as well.

I didn't like stone pale ale 2.0 the first time I tried it, but whether recipe change or change in palate, it was really growing on me. Was hoping to get another 6 pack soon, but can't find it anywhere. This new one does sound promising too but still hope to get one more six pack of the 2.0 before it goes completely away.

Have you tried our beer finder? It should help you take some of the guess work out and get your hands on the beer!

    Cheers,

I hope that's true regarding Pale Ale 2.0. As a HUGE Stone fan, I can honestly say that Pale Ale 2.0 tasted absolutely horrid to me. Damn near a drain pour.

Thanks, I use it pretty often. Just didn't expand my search outside my local area. Looks like it was delivered recently 30 miles away. Sounds like I have a mini road trip in my future.

The national release will be in 2017. If you are a Stone News recipient then you will find out updates as soon as their are available!

    Cheers,

I didn't love Stone Pale Ale 2.0, but most of their beers are so good that I'm excited to try this one.

Had it on tap at a random long beach bar a month or so ago. Tasty stuff, better than 2.0 easily. Will be getting at least one sixer

I think I read its Cali only for now, and then a wide scale release in 2017. I'd be surprised if Stone was canning something for a California only release.

Correct. This is California-only (and Stone company Store - Richmond, on draft) for now, but early in 2017, this will be a national release, both in cans and on draft.

Had it on tap in September with a few people. Everyone agreed it was an improvement on 2.0 but also everyone wished it had more galaxy hops and really pushed the limits of being a pale ale.

Found this today in CT. Had forgotten about it and was excited to see it. Thought it was decent. Would of liked to taste more galaxy but then again it is a pale ale.
