I wish all releases were as smooth easy as tonight was. Got there about 5:45, found a meter with 38 minutes left on it, walked a block and a half each way and grabbed some beer, still 27 minutes on the meter when I left.
Side note, kudos to the TH employee who I saw carrying beer to the car for an older woman who didn't appear to be in very good shape. She was probably muling for her grandson or somebody, but still nice to see.

 

Aren't the meters off at 6pm?

 

Probably, I wasn't looking for a meter with time left, just happened to notice how much time was on it when I got out of my car.

 

Is there any left for sale today at noon?

 

Based on the Instagram comments, looks like they are sold out.

I got a strawberry milkshake in a trade. So its roughly a week old. Any advice on when to drink it? ASAP or wait a week or two? Haven't had many TH IPA cans. Wonder if their cans are like Other Half, where I usually wait a bit to drink, 1-3 weeks depending on the beer.

 

I would think within 2-3 weeks would be ideal, though I've had Pineal and HopHands at about 5-6 weeks old and they both tasted great. The Strawberry Milkshake tastes pretty amazing right now, so why wait? It is IPA Day after all!

 

I would definitely drink the Milkshake ASAP. Those milkshakes fall off faster than any other beer I've come across. They are great within 3 weeks, then start to fall off pretty quickly after 4 weeks. At least the few that I've had.

 

I'll probably drink in the next few days, possibly tonight, if I don't go out for dinner.

But just wondering if there was a sweet spot. For instance, All Green Everything, IMHO, hits its stride for me at 3 weeks after canning. Thanks!

 

I think the sweet spot for the milkshakes are the day it is canned/kegged. Perhaps it's the fruit?

 

Scratch that - "about" 7 cases of HopHands on sale at Noon at the Fermentaria. Limit 3 4pks per person.

 

Anyone doing the Roomarak Brunch for $55.00? For $55.00 they should at least throw in 1 bottle...that is an expensive ass Brunch!

I'll just wait in line and grab some tacos after....

You guys think arriving at 1:15-1:30 on Sunday will be safe to get Roomarak bottles or is it likely to sell out before that? Seems like a lot of bottles, but also seems to be a fair amount of interest in this one.

 

1800 bottles - I think it is a safe bet they will still be there. I think the bottles have lasted a day or two lately.

 

Anyone have Technicolor Splendor yet? My buddy scored me a few and said it's one of their best DIPAs in a long time.
