Carton Brewing (August 2016)

Anyone seeing cans in the ocean county area, my chase has me keep coming up empty handed oh and I also mean just boat and oh dub not even looking for the hard to find ones

 

There is no Boat at the brewery so I am guessing you aren't going to find that anywhere.
Puck up and take the ride up to the Brewery. and don't leave without some Sakura. That I a great beer.

 

Your best bet is Spirits Unlimited in Brick.

 

Spirits in Point Pleasant got a couple cases of 077 in today. Don't see them lasting long.

 

Just a question for those who may know. Stores that receive Carton are not supposed to be hiding the stuff away are they? Getting tired of having to constantly ask for a beer person just to check the stock and then perhaps get some cans. Not to mention the feeling of whether or not I am deemed worthy of purchasing the cans from said person. Hell I think the only reason I got them last time is because I saw someone getting them from the back.

 

I've always heard that no it shouldn't necessarily be "hidden" but it MUST be refrigerated. If that means it has to be in the back in certain stores because it doesn't have a place on a shelf than that is how it has to be. I do agree though it's messed up if the employees are making decisions on who to sell to and I would definitely let Carton know if you suspect this to be happening at a certain store.

 

I think it just has to be cold but they can keep it in the back. They aren't allowed to not sell to you if they have it but allocations are usually left up to the store since most don't seem to be getting more than a few cases.

Just picked up a 4 pack of Boat in Somers Point. There were at least a couple 4 packs left if you are nearby and down the shore this weekend.

 

The lineups for the anniversary events. Holy smokes. Wish the Boyles event was on a weekend.

 

Carton has Nelson!? Be there in about 15.

 

Gonna swing by tomorrow for Nelson, Rub and hopefully more Sakura.

Hey now, the pic is a little misleading, considering some of those cans have yet to drop. Of course, I suppose there's still time before the anniversary parties: foreshadowing?

 

Can anyone give me a sense of how likely cans are available on a Wednesday vs. other days of the week? Is it a favorable day for availability?

I know they post what is available on social media (which is great) but I don't have any wiggle room in the date of my visit (Wednesday 8/24). If there are no cans, I'll fill some growlers... Just curious if any of the locals/regulars can give me odds of there being cans on a Wednesday

Also going to hit up Kane as I work my way from Queens to Ocean City. Same question applies to Kane if anyone has knowledge of both.

 

Seems like new cans come out on Thursdays most of the time. Its hard to say this far out. If there is a new release the week before you go then yes Wednesday will have cans, they rarely ever sell out in a week. Kane isn't open on Wednesday so no chance there.

FWIW I believe Rub just dropped on a Wednesday. Your mileage may vary - I agree that typically Thursday is the day.
