Running Dune (also known as Bėganti Kopa) by Brick by Brick Beer Workshop (Klaipeda, Lithuania).

Artwork: A fairly simple white and sky-blue label with the brew's name translated in English (in the same way that Zlatý Bažant became Golden Pheasant) above what looks like a pulling cart.
Appearance: Yellow-ish/amber and cloudy. Vanishing head with no lacing.
Nose: Quite a bit of menthol (surprisingly), aniseed, a little bit medicinal, some coriander and definitely some cardamom (which is an ingredient)
Taste: It tastes exactly the way it smells. Cardamom is fairly pronounced. A little bit sweeter than most wits.
Mouthfeel: Medium body. Carbonation barely detectable on the tongue.
Overall: A very interesting witbier, mainly due to the addition of cardamom, which is fairly pronounced. While I found its flavors intriguing and overall pleasant, I doubt I could drink more than a couple of bottles before I got sick of it. Nonetheless, it's fairly exciting to see a Lithuanian craft beer (albeit one that is owned by the Lithuanian big boys of Svyturys/Utenos) make it all the way to the US.

Good morning BA, have a great Saturday! My new beer cellar is getting low again, will probably make a haul this afternoon. Beer this morning:

Great cherry Belgian brown ale. Flavors of big tart cherries, berries, green apple, red grape, caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread, hay, straw and light pepper/leather/funk. Light-moderate fruity tartness and yeast spiciness; with an awesome balance of sweetness/tartness after the finish. Very smooth with light acidity and bready creaminess in the mouthfeel. Absolutely delicious. This is more along the lines of a Lindemans type kriek(low funk, some grassy/spicy yeast notes) but it is way more balanced and not too sweet. I have bought multiple 4 packs since they released it already.

Awesome white IPA. Flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, orange peel, pineapple, mango, papaya, pear, coriander, peppercorn, clove, pine, and light banana/bubblegum; with some light-medium wheat/crackery malt; herbal/floral/grassy hop and yeast earthiness. Good sized peppery yeast spice and pine/herbal/grassy hop bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied; sticky/resinous mouthfeel with a fair amount of grainy wheat creaminess. Good dryness. This is literally my Sumpin’ Wild replacement for the year. VERY similar on overall yeast character, hops, and bitterness; with added wit spices and lighter body. So delicious!

This is tasting insane! Huge flavors of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, molasses, toffee, bourbon, toasted oak, coconut, light licorice/raisin, and light smoke/char. Balanced bittersweet roast/char finish with some spicy bourbon/oak against sweetness; light-medium carbonation and full bodied creamy/silky rich mouthfeel. Very smooth sipping with lightly warming alcohol. Really glad I decided to revisit this earlier in the year. My original review opinion in 2013 was less than the base beer; but now I feel it blows the base beer out of the water. Glad this is really easy now, to get along with Wulver; albeit at a significant price, but completely worth it to me. I’d buy either any day of the week.

Outstanding this year as usual. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, and pine hops; with some light caramel/bready malts; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Large pine/peppery/citrus rind bitterness; with a very dry and sticky/resinous finish with light slick maltiness in the full-ish mouthfeel. Warming but smooth sipping despite aggressive hops. There are zero clones for this beer out there, but if I had to guess: Columbus, Chinook, and Amarillo hops are likely the most prominent. Strong resin, citrus, and spice. I like Hopslam more, but this is a completely different DIPA in overall character/flavor profile; and I still love having it every year.

    Cheers

Good morning gang! Just grateful for another day and the simple pleasures it may bring. With all the endless insanity in the world at times, it's easy to lose focus of life's small treasures. Starting out this beautiful day watching the puffy clouds and listening to the birds sing their hearts out while sipping on one of my last Breakfast Stouts. I'm looking forward to a fresh batch any week.

Have yourself a great Saturday, get outdoors and enjoy!

I love Sofie fresh but aged is a real treat. I feel that it changes in stages as well as Orval. The Brett starts to roar after a year or so. This was the last of my 2014 vintage :slight_frown:. As you can see it was a gusher. Brett givith and Brett taketh away.

Warming up with a Magic Rock - Shredder before hosting a blind tasting later today. Just a bit of fun with some friends. Guests are free to bring absolutely anything they like, it's fun trying to correctly guess the style, country, brewery, ect and get an unbiased review. Looking forward to it!

Good morning troops! Starting out another beautiful day here in NW PA. Finished picking up fallen apples from last rain (After I finished watering the yard) and can now move on to next week's construction project. Delivery of supplies is scheduled for Monday, Dog alone knows when, so we probably won't be home when that occurs. I've filled my beer reefer with Busch Lite - that's what the construction guys said they wanted - probably one of the worst "beers" ever manufactured. I tried a cold one, drain poured it, and had to cleanse with three Lake Erie Monsters. Today's breakfast beer is:

Good, but not as good as it is priced.
