This would have been a PERFECT beer to throw a post up next Thursday, August 18th:

As @Numbskull13 illustrated, sometimes there are beers we have forgotten or at least forgotten what we liked/disliked about them. Our palates change, and breweries evolve in skill and recipe, so maybe there's a beer out there you haven't had in a while.

Join us for a theme day next Thursday (that's 8 days from now, so you have time to figure this out ). Grab that beer you've forgotten about or seen on the shelf and just haven't had the gumption to pick up because there is a shiny new beer next to it. Well this is the call for you to take a chance again on a beer from your past.

What did you think of it before? Revisit your review, if you have one (or write one on the 18th). Do you feel the same as you wrote or recalled from before? Is the beer going back into your lineup? Or will you be happy if you never see the beer again on the shelves?

Please take a few extra lines on Throwback Thursday to enlighten us in a little adventure of bringing the past into the present. Hope to see you there!!

(P.S. I will post a few more of these in the next week, sorry if you feel barraged - trying a thin line between reminding people and pounding it into your psyche :grinning:).

I try not to use mine since I bought it because of how much damn beer it holds. I drink enough already. Not like I am going to have a glass thats more than half empty when I pour my beer though.

Sounds like a great friend! Hope you buy him/her a beer or two once in a while .

    Well, well. Nice choice!!

This would've been a Throwback Thursday possibility about 5 beers ago. I actually have never reviewed this beer, though I've had it over the years here and there. My memory of it is as a citrusy lighter beer that was actually a little lemony, but had a decent body and backbone.

This is actually a little more grainy and less tart than I recalled. There is a nice sweet orange note to it up front. The back is a little thinner and there is actually more bitterness when all is said and done than I recall.

I do think I need to make an effort to grab at least a six pack of this each year when it comes out versus overlooking it more often than not.

Cheers!! (and Kudos to @LeperJim for help with the graphics on the Thursday Throwdown promotion)

Speaking of getting "tanked"....damn this is soooooo good!

I only have seen it once so far in bottles in the Akron area, and I grabbed it immediately (at Acme grocery store in Montrose....only 1 - 4 pk)

    I dig this beer
