    Mispillion definitely has brewed a few good beers, Not Today Satan is even better. Also Black Tie and Space Otter are solid beers too!

    Good evening, all! I took a little trip through rural Iowa this afternoon. The itinerary included a stop at Broad Street Brewing in Reinbeck, a place that's been on my radar for quite some time. The brewpub is an unassuming little place - that is, if a place can be unassuming with a full suit of armor standing guard by the front door:

    The flight, l-r: Black Porter, Watson's Famous Red, 175 Lager, Sticky Wicket, and Tangerine Dream.

    Today's itinerary also included a stop at the Trinkets & Togs thrift store in Grundy Center, where I found a pair of these thistle glasses for a buck and a half. I had to dig around in the fridge for something worthy of this glass and found a Wooden Nickel, a Scottish ale from Backpocket Brewing in Coralville, IA. Score!

    Number 3/6 of Sierra Nevada's Oktoberfest. This is a world class Autumn seasonal this year, I highly recommend it.

    Although excuse the shitty pour with little to no head, I think the glass is too wet, but I was anxious to get a beer in tonight.
