    Morning Beer Fans! Super Sports Saturday ahead (watching, not playing) what with the Olympics going on and the soccer starting up again in England.

    Got to run (well more like walk, bleary eyed) to the store soon so getting one in before I need to go out of the house. My wife has enlisted my help in making lemonade for a school event, and apparently you need 100 lemons to even make a cup full (and the sugar in the background of the photo)

    My initial morning drinking plans soured (to coin a phrase) when I opened up a now infamous midwestern bba stout that had turned pretty badly since last November. Faced with a few undrinkable stouts I went in for one that I know is still drinking like a champ! 2013 BCBS is my saviour this morning

    This is an underrated beer, IMHO. A nice Flanders style with a little bit of oak flavor, a great finish that is a little bitter and rich. And only $9, come on.

    Ok, GF is getting ready, so I have time for another beer. Not one that is going to have any effect on my coffee stout inventory, but one that is in a smaller format.

    It's just as likely the palate shift from beer #1, but this seems overly bitter. Then again, it IS an IPA :rolling_eyes:. Very interesting after a coffee stout.


    The GF is on fire today! First she sends me this (which got a decent chuckle out of me, for some reason):

    And then she reads how Devil's Backbone has been "kicked out" of the festival they helped create (for selling to AB InBev).

    Not necessarily funny, but ironic. And if I had to do a Venn Diagram of those two things....

    I'm at work right now and tearing up a little. I cant keep watching this guys. I have a sixer of Golden Monkey in my fridge at home waiting...god they are probably scared and lonely....

    Happy Saturday BA's! Friday really seems to brings out the best in us, am I right?! We saw some amazing food last night (again), and I think we all got a little too up close and personal with a certain Moderator, if you know what I'm talking about :wink:. Well...enough chit chat, it's time for the Glass of the Day Awards!

    GotD:     Amazing. :grimacing: For the 2nd time this week!, cheers and congrats to @Prager62 for an awesome 1973 vintage Hamm's Oktoberfest ceramic mug. It's not too often that I sincerely get jealous, but this is one of those times.
    2nd: @TongoRad pulled out an old favorite :slight_smile:. What would make a stemless wine glass better? Put a handle on it, of course!
    3rd: I believe this was a vacation cabinet hijacking, but a fun glass nevertheless. @PatrickCT , it may be difficult at 8oz. at a time, but did you officially get Wasted, Wobbly, Wimpy, or Crabby with that stange of a shot glass? :confused:

    Honorable mentions go out to @bowzer4birdie for that delectable looking ham & cheese sandwich (oops...I mean the Hofbrau liter krug :stuck_out_tongue:), and to @MACrist for that candle holder that he may or may not have stolen from @SammyJaxxxx .

    Might be a huge step to catch up to my (not so) "secret" weapon :wink:.

    Actually, to pull back the curtain, he liked the theme concept and the idea for the graphic was all his and I loved it! All I did was tweak the tack he was already on (mainly to feel I was contributing). Kudos to him for taking some time out of his day for this thankful BA.
