BOOJUM's King of the Mt DIPA. This has a fresh hop aroma, is not overly sweet and the alcohol is well-hidden, a tasty option in Western NC.

Home now, prepping for a haircut and a visit to the dentist.

 

Good afternoon, BA's, and happy hump day! That howler of 11% stout I domed last night kinda kicked my ass. Passed out on the couch at 8pm, woke up (rather confused) 12 hours later. Only during summer can I get away with this.

Drinking this now. Tired Hands before Tired Hands!

 

A couple more cases of this 'gimmicky' unfiltered nectar showed up today at my local store. Of course I took the bait! I should get motivated and mow a now rejuvenated growing lawn? I'll drink this beer and contemplate it.

Happy Wednesday ba. Went down to bb but the line was insane. If I were alone I would have waited. Opting for shipyard instead,

Splitting a flight to start. Imperial pumpkin, blueberry, coffee porter, and island session ipa,

 

The place where I get my haircut serves beer, it seems totally wrong that my dentist doesn't.

 

I would have figured you'd be drowning in Psychedelic Cat Grass by now!

 

It would certainly make the visit more bearable.

Wednesday. It's still hotter than hell everywhere, and is even starting to look more like it (I assume ) around here with everything being on fire...again. How does one quench this inferno? With some more liquid gold of course! Or brown, or red, or...whatever your preference! And to capture that liquid treasure, a vessel perhaps . It's time for the Glass of the Day Awards!

GotD: The Pauwel Kwak glass and stand combo. A little inconvenient? Perhaps. But always impressive. and a discussion piece, and most importantly we have not seen one in a while on WBAYDN. Cheers and congrats @CanConPhilly on making it to the summit with your new glass!
2nd: For a proper post in what looks like a very tranquil setting, @ksimons for this La Chouffe combo.
3rd: @Tripel_Threat for the copper Moscow Mule mug alongside what has to be the most appropriate beer available. (Oh, and, RIP little Lego fella...looks like he didn't have a chance )

Beer #2. Picked this up while shopping for Throwback Thursday beers. A little late to the Mocha party, but oh well.



Was not expecting this level of sweetness! Perhaps the sugariest ipa I've ever tasted. The gf might actually like this.

Brain-teaser. Just noticed a connection between the beer and the glass. Who else sees it? 100 karma points up for grabs

 

First time trying Veil...partytime excellent!!

 

Bottled last night...on the shelves this morning....Amazing...One of their best yet....
