    Anybody heard anything regarding the next Backstage beer? The second release of the year typically comes out around now, but they haven't even announced anything yet.

    I have heard there will only be two Backstage releases this year, with the next one being toward the end of the year. Thus, no August/September release.

    Heard from a rep to expect a big barrel aged beer, not that anyone should be surprised.

    Both of which have been released already this year and were not Backstage releases, so no.

    I'm thinking he meant BA versions of them.

    I had BA Re-dankulous a little while ago at the brewery and it was way too much bourbon forward for me. It was nearly impossible to get a sense of any beer in it.

    Yes I meant BA versions. Sumatra was a big hit, I'd love for this to happen.

    If the rep said a "big BA beer", I really hope it's Barrel Aged FIS. I just want that beer to exist in bottles (and then in my belly).

    If I could like this 1000 times, I would. I'm completely with you on wanting this in bottles. BA Imperial Stout is pretty much what I've been wanting from Founders for quite some time.

    I would happily consume any of those three, but would prefer in order: IS (daddy wants...), Sumatra (daddy also wants), Redank.

    Not that anything would change but I guess you never know.. This years FBS just released around my way. Bottle date is 8/5/16 for those interested. Potent, vibrant stuff when its this fresh.

    BB and KBS both age very well IMO. Understand when I say age I mean months, I hardly ever age a beer more than a year. Also, last time they did kegs of CBS and decent amount made it out to NJ, I had it on tap 3 times and missed a few others.

    I mentioned BA Sumatra to Founders on Instagram a few months back with a reply of (and I'm paraphrasing), "this might be something we do down the road"...or something to that manner.

    BA FIS....what an amazing beer that would be.

    Lizard of Koz is a great beer. I had it the last two years at the Black Party. Can't wait!
