Yea, they said it's not even being released this year. They made a different base stout to age in barrels and it's gonna be called Sumi Ink. No definite release date last time they mentioned it other than likely this fall sometime.

 

Had Frou Frou and Super Going last night (stopped by Double Windsor on way home). Frou Frou was not what I had expected when I saw it would be heavy on the Galaxy hops. Not as fruit forward, and bit more bitter than I expected (which may have been the rye malt coming through?). It was good, just a bit different from what I had thought it would be.

Super Going on the other hand was what I love about Grimm sours, great citrusy taste. I didn't get any salty taste at first, but by about 2/3rds of the way through I started to notice a bit of salt left on the aftertaste. Really good. Any one know when these bottles are expected to really start showing up?

 

They've been popping up here and there, I think someone said they'll hit Whole Foods Friday.

 

Was at Beer Culture on W 45th yesterday, had 2 cases of Super Going sitting behind the counter at $13/btl. They seemed confused as to why there wasn't a line of beards out the door. Guessing there is plenty there still.

 

Good beer has had super going since Monday, and still has. Also has cuvée on tap, drinking as we speak. Interesting flavors that really work together. Enjoy more each sip

 

Saw 3 bottles of Super Going left behind the counter at Beer Culture around midnight

 

Kills me I am missing this next week. Would love to keep all the RR sours I come home with AND get AI, but I think I may have to give up a supp or 2 for some cans...

 

hey guys -- quick update. canned afterimage yesterday and it will hit shelves next week. New batch of afterimage is JUICY. Brewing Lambo today.

Also out next week (draft only) is Plink -- mixed fermentation sour with hibiscus and orange zest. REALLY tasty.

 

Super Going at Eataly, $15. On the shelf with the remaining unsold bottles of mispriced DN.

Yea and if Lambo drops the 15th of Sept I will be missing b2b releases of my 2 favs Going to need to leave a ton of space in my bag!

 

Lambo door is possibly my favorite can from @Grimm_Artisanal_Ales can not wait. finally not away for the next two weeks, so hopefully grab myself some AI and Lambo. sweeeet.

 

How convenient that Grimm will release After Image the week that I'm in the city and can get some...(smirk)

 

As I and others can attest to, being in the city during a Grimm release does not guarantee you anything. It's all about being in the right place at the right time and even then your quantities can be very limited. Good luck though and have fun!!!
