I would love to see them brew the coffee Only Void from earlier this year again. Gatherer was very good too but Coffee Only Void is my favorite of the cans they've made so far.

I'm also surprised they haven't done Mago Tago yet but I think it's being saved for a special occasion.

I have to admit I'm kind of over this whole format. Why can't they just be on shelves and ever rotating? Oh, because they want to create chaos and feel great about themselves, got it.

i'll give them the benefit of doubt & say they don't have enough cooler space to store cans onsite. hopefully that will change once the dispensary opens.

And where will the "dispensary" be located?

    Cheers!

There is also the freshness factor. They probably don't want anything older than a week or 2 sitting on the shelves, at least the super hoppy/fruity stuff. I don't know how Trillium's operation works, but they seem to be doing it right. I assume they have much more capacity than Tired Hands.

i have no inside info, they mention it frequently on social media but haven't provided any concrete details so far. they've said it will be used to expand their barrel program--as for the rest, who knows?

Yes, they have leased some space in Conshohocken for long term barrel aging. I have heard nothing concerning this space (a basement?) as being anything other than a barrel aging space.

    Cheers!

In my thoughts, i believed it to be a spot that customers wouldn't be visiting.. just a storage/production/etc facility to "Dispense" beer to the Ferm/Cafe etc... could be wrong though

Dispensary is not going to be open to the public (based on prior Instagram posts) - it is already operating for barrel aging though.

it will certainly be a "dispensary" for barrel aged beers. I suppose they could construct a cold room there and ship canned beers there for storage and later retail at the Fermentaria? I would suspect that Jean would view this as 'unnecessary' transportation of beer and just continue with the present business model of conducting weekly mid-week can releases. Why wouldn't he just continue the present course? He is selling out the beers in less than 2 days (often in less than hours) and based upon the number of customers who are willing to wait in long lines (week after week) the customers appear to be happy (or satisfied) with this method of 'dispensing'.

    Cheers!

They moved a bunch of barrels - saw they already added another fermenter and have room to add a few more where the barrels were previously. I could also see them adding another cold box as well if they wanted to increase the number of cans on hand. But if I were him I would be happy with how it is working for them right now, minimal amount of space needed for cans and selling out your product in a few hours.... I would love to be able to see a carton type situate where you can walk in an pick up 4 packs on a semi-regular basis with no line waiting

it was my impression that they wished at somepoint to be able to distribute their beer beyond just kegs... i assume to do that they were going to need a larger facility with a bigger canning machine that would be run more then 1-2 times per week... who knows though, i'm not sure what is in store for their future plans, just remember hearing that was something they wanted to do

if there is more $ to be made I imagine they will go after making it

"The Dispensary" would be an odd name for something that's just a storage facility, but when have Tired Hands' names ever made sense?

It's part of the "dude weed" aesthetic.

They certainly need more fermenters (larger fermentation capacity) and it sounds like that is happening. They do not necessarily need a "bigger" canning line; they just need to utilize that line more than they presently are (which is 1-2 days a week?). If they had enough beer such that they could can every day of the week there would be more than enough cans of beer for their existing local customer base (Philly area).

    Cheers!

Look at the peeps who line up at their releases. Nothing about this surprises me nor the reaction that will follow.

Yup, Tired Hands have 'enthused' customers. For Jean that is a very, very good thing!

    Cheers!
