Oh okay. Thanks for the tip - I came across my bottle of Nectar at Carmine Street; I should assume I got lucky?

Either way, gotta make my way up to the Farm - that Nectar was damned good.

Also, as mentioned earlier in this thread, DeCicco's grocery (at least the Brewster one) occasionally carries a few of their less-limited beers; I guess once you're travelling that far you might as well hit the Farm.

Agreed. I bought a bottle to open while I toured the grounds last Saturday and it was absolutely amazing. When I got back to the farmstand after my walk I bought another two more bottles to go.

The farmstand, although not NYC busy, had a nice steady flow of people. Good to see that people are visiting!

Interesting -- that's a bigger selection than they normally carry. But I think the online bottle shop is closed for now, so maybe they are trying to clear inventory for the new season.

I noticed the bottle shop too. Was gonna email Emily and ask about what may be left, I wanted to send a trade partner a PB as an extra, but would rather send one I can potentially buy more of.

I hope Evan and Emily denote the flowers used on the labels of the Bouquet series going forward. Not too confusing yet, but as the series goes on the wax colors won't mean much imo

I've been numbering them -- I actually do that now with vintages or batch numbers if I can figure them out; just based on how Evan brews I suspect some beers will vary a lot year to year (ie, delicious one year, more delicious the next). I also used to be able to identify bottles from the top of the case by the wax color, but obviously once you hit 50+ beers you're gonna run out of new colors...

adding in a couple poughkeepsie bar/restaurant tips (I also endorse Mill House and Blue Collar -- not amazing but both good):

Schatzi's on Main Street; beer bar with good food and cool back yard space.
BC Kitchen & Bar on Collegeview (by Vassar College); nice cafe with brunch, sandwiches and great beer.
Tavern 23 at 23 Verrazano: i've not been but Emily recommended it to me. She said it has a great beer list.

Emily also recommended Tavern 23 but it was based on the food, not the beer; went there for lunch and 100% true. Schatzi's was the rec for straight German fare and the best beer list in the area.

it is entirely possible I remembered what she said wrong. in any event, she recommended it highly.

I heard Suarez Pils will be on tap, Evan is unsure what else will be there. They are doing a pig, so I doubt a grill will be necessary.

Missing the BBQ, but I heard whispers about a keg of Amour

Not sure how long I'll be at the BBQ but I plan on bringing a bottle of Kane 1460 to share. If you are interested in trying it, you can message me on here or just find me on Sunday. I'll be the guy trying to get that thick blue wax off the top of the bottle.

They've had cases upon cases at the Armonk store. Same with Brewster. Like 4 or 5 varieties.

I assume the Hive BBQ is rain or shine? The forecast looks pretty nasty.

I can't wait for this BBQ! I've been sitting on a Hommage and a few other bottles I've been dying to open.

I wish I could make the BBQ but putting it on a Sunday keeps me from going

Yeah I won't be making it unfortunately. A concert on Saturday ensures a full day of tailgating and a late night. Just won't feel like making the 75 minute drive for another round of drinking on a Sunday
