I shop in the south metro, specifically Blue Max, and Hell is never more than $8.99...It all goes through a distributor, so I'm not sure what your point was there.

BAs might want Abrasive more than Hell but Hell would be one hell of a gateway beer and possibly one of the best selling Surly beers.

Personally I would like to see Bitter Brewer and/or Mild made year round.

You are incorrect, sir. His point was exactly what he said: it's more expensive through a distributor. There's an area in the Northwest of the Twin Cities that gets Surly via a distributor, & the rest of the Cities gets it directly from Surly (unless this has changed recently, in which case someone will doubtless correct me, too).

As long as we're chiming in with useless wishes, I'd stuff a ballot box for Bitter over Hell.

Good lord, I don't even want to imagine what life would be like with year round Abrasive. I'd be broke and drunk.

I vote for year round abrasive at a reasonable $12 instead of the outrageous $18. Not sure why hell is year round....

probably because lots of people like it and it sells well. also abrasive goes for about $15 most places I have seen, which is reasonable considering how much goes into it.

When you say "about $15" do you mean $16.99? That's the cheapest I've seen it, with $17.99 being typical.

Bought it at Haskell's for the 15 and the win. Others had it for $17.99 (Liquor Boy & Princeton's).

Haskells, Blue Max, Falls Liquor all have it for $15. $15.99 is pretty standard at most other reputable beer stores in mpls/st. paul

Heritage for $13.99. If $16.99 is the cheapest you've seen, be a good BA and shop around a little.

Not that Surlyfest has to be around year round, but they seriously need to brew more of it and extend the time of availability. I think the liquor stores near me got one flat each, and it was gone in two days. Would love to see it sell August through October.

I Agree to a certain extent. For being an amazing rye lager, the dry hops in Surlyfest are only impeccable for about 10 days from canning and fall off quickly. Knowing the product is best within a few weeks of canning, I'd hate to see it lying around on shelves for too long. Love that stuff though!!!

Glad to see hell year round! Hoping to gateway some buddies who prefer corporate beer to the craft beer family with hell. Congrats Surly and hoping to see more and more year round beers!
