Hopefully Pineal lasts until then at least!

Anybody else pick up what tastes like tea in Hoi Oligoi?

Are you perceiving a flavor of tea or is it more like a mouthfeel?

    Cheers!

Look at that... 15 cases of Hop Hands remain this morning. I may have to mosey on over and grab some.

Drinking one right now and you aren't going crazy it does have a nice tea like taste to it. Personally I'm really enjoying it.

Drinking at 11 am on a Friday? I'm jealous.

Yeah I got there at 3:30 yesterday and it was only HopHands left. Got that and one of each of the three bottles they have around (there's TONS of those if anyone wants any).

Wanted the Hoi and Pineal, but happy to come home with something.

Hoi Oligoi is brewed using the following hops: Cascade, Hallertau Blanc and Columbus.

I have homebrewed using Cascade and Columbus but I am unfamiliar with Hallertau Blanc. Maybe it is the Hallertau Blanc that is providing a tea-like flavor?

Below is a description of Hallertau Blanc:

“Origin: Germany. A daughter of Cascade released in 2012 and bred specifically to answer the needs of American craft beer styles.

Usage: Aroma, particularly whirlpool and dry hopping to take full advantage of the very high myrcene fraction. With its pronounced tropical profile, Hallertau Blanc has strong affinity for many of the same styles as southern hemisphere hops: IPA, Belgian ales, wheat beer, and Brett fermentations.

Aroma & Flavor Characteristics: Moderate to strong featuring pineapple, gooseberry, white grape, fresh lemongrass stalk, and passionfruit. Reminiscent of many recent Southern Hemisphere varieties, but with a cleaner, less “dank” profile.”

    Cheers!

P.S I have a can of Hoi Oligoi in my refrigerator but I am ‘aging’ it for two weeks before I drink it.

If there was, it was completely gone by 12:40. Walked in and paid immediately. I assume there's tons behind the bar now, as they were what looked like making space on one of the shelves where Roomarak was.

I'd be shocked if there isn't any left after today. Got there at 2 PM & they were delivering a pallet to be sold behind the bar. The bartender suggested there was much more to come...

Tried my first D2H3 Galaxy yesterday and would love your feedback, BA. Growler fill, about 2 weeks later. It poured a strange grey color, like dirty dishwater. Smell was Galaxy though certainly not to the level I'd expect. Taste was . . . okay, kind of muted. Definitely a decent beer, but not one that lived up to the level of the Untappd reviews or my previous TH experiences. Should have taken a photo. Anyone with similar experiences?

If the growler was 2 weeks old, i'd chalk the color change up to oxidation. It seems to happen pretty often with really turbid, heavily dry-hopped beers.

Yeah two weeks is pretty long to keep a growler...

I had some in cans and it definitely didn't pour grey.

As has already been mentioned you have an oxidized beer here (after two weeks in the growler).

I had a glass of D2H3 Galaxy at the Fermentaria last week and it was not gray in color.

    Cheers!
