Happy Friggin Friday! Seemed like a few more joined us on a lovely and thirsty Thursday. Looks like @cavedave enjoyed quite a few shrooms, and @Barracudas is single handedly keeping Sierra Nevada afloat , but what's going on elsewhere? And by "elsewhere", I mean "glassware" ! Time for the Glass of the Day Awards!

GotD: Very happy to see this glass pop up. Pabst Andeker ! I'm sure very few are even familiar with the beer, but those of you who are know of its historical significance (I assume). I never even had it, but remember my Uncles always raving about it at family gatherings in the early 80's. Cheers and congrats @Chaz , for some history, and some "Good Old Potosi"!
2nd: For the second day in a row, @muchloveforhops3 brought his A game with this fine Schlitz Light chalice. If he doesn't already have it, I believe this might make @Prager62 a little jealous . (I know I have seen it before...somewhere.)
3rd: To the birthday boy, @Invinciblejets for a fine Mexican Cake glass on a stilt of a stem. Happy belated birthday (and thanks for reminding me that it was my brother's too )!

Honorable mention goes out to @RyanK252 for a proper beauty of a Bear Republic post.

Uinta Tangerine Hop Nosh at The Holy Grail.

 

Minor toe surgery this morning, and the anesthetic is wearing off. So a PBR right now, a martini is case of extreme pain. I'm such a wuss, I hate getting needles in my foot, that really hurts.

 

Who's ready for some football?!?!?!?!? These are from yesterday, first time having a beer since last week. Had a friend come over, we shared a few. Started off with a Side Project Marietta Ave


Then had another gem from Treehouse


Finished off the little share with a newer one from Avery, Calligypian. Saw this was 17.4%, but no heat at all.

I can honestly say i wish it was hotter. But to be honest ive been eating hot peppers since i was a kid and even the ghost pepper i dont find unedible. It was hot enough but i was expecting huge heat and while it was there, i kinda wanted it to be undrinkable because i feel there is no such thing too spicy for me Lol. The fact that they can put the world's hottest scientifically engineered pepper in this beer with balance is amazing.

If you like heat, dont get me wrong, (if you dont like spicy this will burn) and balance check this out

Really nailed the Simcoe hop for me - made me think of blackberry and lime, with a hint of musty pine - medium-bodied, moderate carbonation, and a real nice lingering finish...

Compared to @DerelictPI and this guy, my breakfast was pretty weak...
