Our newest addition is a little over two weeks old, and while he can frequently piece together four hours sleep at a clip, last night was the worst sleep since the hospital--he's had me up since about 1AM. So, a bunch of Netflix and holding him constantly and several cups of coffee has brought me to today's breakfast beer.

Thanks to @Dogleg for sharing, he was nice enough to drop this off yesterday afternoon and how I kept my hands off of the beer this long surprised me. Cheers, brother.

Good morning BA, have a great Sunday!

Excellent gose as always. Haven’t had this in a while actually, but we finally got fresh cans last week. Flavors of big tart lemon, lime, green apple, white grape, wheat, cracker, coriander, sea salt, and herbal earthiness. Tart, crisp finish; acidic, saline, and light grainy wheat malt in the mouthfeel. Super refreshing! Will have to get more really soon.

Awesome pale ale! Glad we get these in the 6 packs now. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine hops; with some light honey/toasted bready malt; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish. Very crisp and sticky/resinous mouthfeel with light grainy creaminess. Zero hop astringency despite aggressive bitterness. Love it!

My main go-to fruit beer, year round is the best. Big juicy sweet/tart raspberries with moderate bready wheat/crackery malt balance; and some light-moderate herbal/spicy hop earthiness/bitterness. Light-moderate dryness. Balanced tart/bitter/lightly creamy wheat mouthfeel and finish. Always amazing.

Cellar grab; been aging this one for a year, and loved it fresh. Still tasting fantastic! Flavors of big caramel, toffee, brown sugar, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, and coconut; with raisin, plum, fig, apricot, apple fruitiness; and some herbal/tobacco-like hop character. Moderate bourbon/oak spice and herbal hop bitterness on the finish. Creamy/slick medium-full body; with light stickiness and drying bourbon/oak character. More of an English barleywine than an imperial red, as it was last year. Very similar, but more smoothed out on the barrel booziness now. Delicious! English barleywines are my top favorite style.

The old reliable Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA in the hot tub. Sorry I pooped out on the LNBA'ers last night. Between falling asleep in the recliner & computer woes I had to call it a night at 0120...

I may review this on NBS but if I do I will use actual proper glassware and use a pilsener glass.

Good Morning and Good Day BA's...

been away far too long (a few weeks)...knowing once I get started (drinking/posting) it oft times becomes a swirling vortex of goodness that I get sucked into...which, at times, gets to be a bit too much out of life balance for me

that said, I return to the site and the early beer---as I just returned last night, from Santa Barbara---dropping my youngest daughter off, setting her up for college for her first year (as my oldest is in grad school in Rhode Island--and traipsing about Cambodia now for two weeks as part of her program)....so the brutal beauty of a childless home is now my reality (love it, hate it, too quiet...too quiet...too quiet)...part of life, I know...fortunate I am, I know...but the processing in the transition is the yin/yang of my psyche...full spectrum of emotions firing away...incessantly

    I know, I know...shut up and drink...(and, I certainly will)

    juice in the morning
    [IMG]

    sounds flow accordingly..."soul-style" indeed

will be back BA's...less estrogen-laced scrutiny allows for proliferation of pondering and pointless pontifications disguised as innocent posts

    Thanks for the ear...Cheers BA's

Unearthed this from the bottom of the redidge. Several years old at this point, more like a barleywine now.

From this morning's cuke hunt. Anyone interested in a trade that includes fresh cukes as an extra?
