Good morning BAs! Another wet morning here in TX - I think it's rained at least once every day since we've been here. Today's breakfast beer (keeping it local):



Couldn't open Chrome earlier - had to try to use Internet Explorer - what a POS! Every time I come to TX I have trouble with TWC internet.

 

Ok Guys, So this is not a Gueze! That is also the name of this delicious smelling beauty. I've been waiting on this one for a while. It is technically an American Wild Ale that was made in Gueuze fashion, That is mixing a bunch of different aged sour ales together. It smells of a bubblegum funk up front followed by vinigar and the oak from the barrels it was aged in. wow. Ladies and Gents, without further ado, This is Les Trois Mousquataires - Ceci N'est Pas Une Gueuze!

 

Tart and tasty, I have one left which I may mix with an FBS for a chocolate raspberry beer.

 

Took the day off. I'm going to spend the day at the pool with my kids.

Good morning and happy humpday BA's! Despite only having 7 pages yesterday, we saw some epic events and some superb vessels. @HeartofMiami put a Sam Adams shaker pint through the ringer, @HermitDan polished an entire 3 liters of Citricado by himself (or with his dog ), and @cjgiant "s fly came back to haunt @Numbskull13 (though it has nothing on @jzeilinger 's redneck fly).
Reminder: Today is the first G.E.D. Glassware Encouragement Day) installment, so submit those IPA Gripper glasses to bump up that education ! (There is a method to my madness... maybe ). Time for the Glass of the Day Awards!

GotD: This was a no brainer despite some worthy opposition, but @goingbrokeonbeer 's impersonating glass of @DoctorZombies is one glass I wouldn't want to mess with! I don' mess wit no Voodoo!
2nd: @mschrei , you have a Chewbacca mug. 'Nuff said .
3rd: I can't help myself . @dcotom uses my weakness to his advantage again with another beautiful thrift store thistle. Say that three times fast .

Honorable mentions goes out to @bowzer4birdie for a lovely gold rimmed beer ingredients mug, and to @Mongrel for a nice stemless tulip.

A little breakfast beer.

 

Really nice, only thing missing is the bourbon, it doesn't taste barrel aged at all. Nice juicy sour ale with a nice funky Brett flavor, with a generous flavor of fresh mint that blends seamlessly. Really like the mint addition.

 

A 2 year old Fore Smoked Stout, carefully aged.



Notes :

The aroma is more like burnt bourbon sap and oats.

The flavor is less smokey than the 1 year old bottle. Focus more on stale chocolate and mild, mild coffee.

Feel is super thin now, and while it wasn't a chewer to begin with, is more like a lager in consistency.

Drink at 1 year for maximum smoke and flavor.

 

Apparently, if I have some in my fridge, this is my go to beer when I'm doing the laundry.
