    It's lunchtime here in Germany:

    Löwenbräu (kinda pronounced, "Loo-Ven-Brroy")

A pale Oktoberfestbier, not that great by itself, but would get the job done in any fest tent.

Think I slept from 9:30 till about 10:30 last night; a combination of the two week old and the four year old (surprising, the latter) keeping me up the rest of the night. So, time of day has lost its meaning.

Also, I'm a quarter German, so I'll join you. Morgen.

Looks like another rainy day on tap here in the low country...this coffee should help jump start the morning:

Good morning BAs! It's starting off to be a beautiful day in SATX - sun shining, no rain here yesterday (although it was all around), dogs have been walked, chickens have been emancipated, turtles await cleaning and feeding - and Mrs Lizard and my sister-in-law are heading out for breakfast with my neice, so a quiet morning with my computer and beer.

    Some local wildlife:

Never mind. The local IP won't allow Chrome, only Internet Explorer, which totally sucks because I don't know how to upload photos into it. Today's beer is Freetail's Cherry Bexarliner, a decent Berliner Weisse (San Antonio is in Bexar county, thus the play on words).

A gloomy day here at the Fortress of Solitude but the drinking is particularly fine.

I always did enjoy Heineken, although I am, apparently, supposed to hate it.

Taking advantage of the local offerings not available on the East Coast. No coffee, but still a nice morning stout.

If you're talking Pocket Trick (got one from @SammyJaxxxx a little while ago), I can vouch for that beer's awesomeness. Just a little red can from a brewery I'd never heard of in a box with Carton and Sixpoint heavy hitters, and damned if it didn't hold it's own just fine.

Thought that might be the case, but, hey, we live in a world of session IPAs and diminishing clever beer names.

Good morning and happy Thursday BA's, on what I assume is a lot of your final workday this week in order to extend this holiday weekend. Well, it looks like my subliminal messaging didn't work overall, and I am a little bit disappointed :slight_frown:, but one lucky winner will be receiving the Glass of the Day and first ever Glassware Encouragement Day (G.E.D.) Awards :grimacing:! Keep a keen eye out people, as more easter eggs will be popping up soon (steinclubsundays, steinclubsundays, steinclubsundays.) !

GotD: For playing the game like a champion, @BeerVikingSailor thank you. Lovely Gripper glass. Cheers and congrats! You are the first to get your GED :stuck_out_tongue::grinning:!
2nd: @dcotom, a perfect pair again with this Scuttlebutt / Schooner mug duo.
3rd: Of course, my weakness shows again to @jzeilinger 's thistle. (What would we ever do if there were multiple thistles in one day :grimacing:!?)

Honorable mention goes out to @Prager62 for a picture perfect Sierra Nevada O'fest post.
(Wow...a lot of Veteran winners today !)
Cheers everyone, and I will see you all soon!

    GotD.

A - nice orange amber clear beer with an off white head that leaves okay lacing
S - definition of dank. Garlic, onion, ganja, hop resin, little pine, little grapefruit
T - same deal, dank and basically only that-Garlic, onion, ganja, hop resin, little pine, little grapefruit.
M - light medium mouthfeel, alcohol covered, aftertaste is leftover dank hops, hop resin, garlic, onion
O - it's exactly what it says it is. That said, I do wish there was some overly ripe fruit or tropical notes balancing out the dank. That's okay though, it's supposed to be dank and it is.
