What are your thoughts on this one vs regular Maduro. I'm intrigued and want to find it.

Evening BA's @vabeerguy is killing me, seems like everyone has Maduro but me!!! Luckily I have a bunch of Wicked Weed in the fridge. Starting with this waiting for Cowboys football.

Sadly, grey sail pour judgement. I don't recall it tasting like bud.....

I'm having an evening of coast-to-coast sours.

First, East Coast represent, Foam Brewers House of Fermentation Yellow Dot:

Fantastically interesting beer. You can really taste the spices in it, I think it's the chamomile that makes for a really, really nice backing flavor to go with the tartness.

Followed by (a cleaned glass filled with) some West Coast, my first De Garde:

Very nice. Interestingly, my first sip I thought, wow, this is harshly tart, but the more I drink of it the more I taste the depth of flavor in it. I think I'm tasting the oak barrel - it's a little, not sweet, but not not sweet. Oaky, I guess.

And of course the Side Project Missouri Sour glass to balance the coasts.

    AWESOME!

I was out there this past March, and I was so impressed with all the beers out there!

I will be making that trip out there more often!

OK so I posted another VA beer. If you make it to Charlottesville, VA stop by this brewery. You will not be disappointed.

Well, NE Style chips and all...

Love finding them two-fer-five. Had a quality related issue once and they were outstanding in terms of customer service.

You do know I forgive you about that whole Cowboys thing. Maduro addiction trumps football favorites. But the fucking Cowboys............

Sticking with the theme of NE special releases from last week. This is easily one of the most delicious Imperial Stouts that I've had. Baker's chocolate and coffee with a pleasing bitterness. Amazing since there's no chocolate or coffee to be found in this beer. Can't get enough of this.
