Doin' it ! yesterday I made some fish . A nice lightly sauteed cod . Was old bay salt and pepper on a nice flaky cod fillet served cold on soba noodle with grapefruit, cilantro, and a salsa of golden beet and diakon radish.

SO today . . . . I got plenty oktoberfest and I got out the can a beans because my son dislikes meat. Can you believe that?
This going to be black bean salad with the rest of the fish and some crispy cheese crackers.

Good morning BA, have a great Labor Day holiday! I will be doing a bit of cleaning around my apartment today, but other than that I will enjoy my day off. Beer this morning:

Awesome white IPA. Flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, orange peel, pineapple, mango, papaya, pear, coriander, peppercorn, clove, pine, and light banana/bubblegum; with some light-medium wheat/crackery malt; herbal/floral/grassy hop and yeast earthiness. Good sized peppery yeast spice and pine/herbal/grassy hop bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied; sticky/resinous mouthfeel with a fair amount of grainy wheat creaminess. Good dryness. This reminds me of Sumpin’ Wild a lot which is probably my favorite Lagunitas beer ever. Will definitely keep on buying this one while it's around.

Always fantastic. Flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, passion fruit, berry, lemon/orange zest, and light pine hops; with moderate caramel/toasted bready malt and herbal/floral/grassy hops earthiness. Light-moderate pine/grassy bitterness; smooth finish with balanced hop stickiness and bready creaminess in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate dryness. Has all the mosaic/citra hop flavors I love and it is always available reliably fresh.

Awesome coffee IPA. Flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine hops; with balanced medium roast coffee, cocoa, vanilla; caramel, toasted bread malt; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel and light roasted coffee bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; balanced sticky/resins and creaminess in the mouthfeel; with a touch of chalkiness from cocoa/coffee flavors. Light-moderate increasing dryness; with zero astringency. Highly drinkable and minimal warming ABV. Pretty much perfectly balanced between cocoa/coffee and citrus/pine hop flavors. I've been drinking a lot of Short's Snake Juice earlier this year, which is similar to this(but more tropical); this is a bit more malty, and roasty/vanilla tasting from the cocoa. Will keep buying singles for as long as I can.

This is world class as usual. Store got a fresh batch this week, less than a month old. Flavors of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, toffee, molasses, chili pepper, toasted dark bread, and light dark fruit/smoke/charred notes. Bittersweet balanced roasted finish with light pepper spice. Full bodied creamy/silky mouthfeel with light sticky/chalky roast and spice notes. Very well hidden ABV, lightly warming. Really glad this is a year round shelf beer now. Amazing base stout complexity, with nice pepper flavors that have minimal associated heat.

Funny how drinking a stout seems to make my mouth want an ale. I think I have easily influenced taste buds or something.

@superspak I applaud your music taste. I am incredibly bummed that the BTBAM/Devin tour will not be coming anywhere near me. I've seen BTBAM twice but seeing Devin live is one of my life's ambitions.

A new brewery opens up not 15 miles from me, and it takes a guy from Ohio to tell me about it.
    This is a nice beer.
Thank you, @SomethingClever . Have a safe trip back home.
