Will be in Brussels soon. Was wondering if im able to visit Cantillion, Drie Fonteinen and Fantome in the same day. I want to see Cantillion for sure so any other suggestions for the same day would be appreciated.

    possible but not likely.
the day would have to be Saturday.
you'll need a car to get to Fantome.
    YOu'll be drinking.
    so just don't.

Just stick to Cantillon and 3F in one day, you can do all by public transport

Is it physically possible? I guess so, but I wouldn't. Even with no extra stops, you're looking at 4ish hours in the car for the round trip. That doesn't leave you much time to actually enjoy your visit. Trying to pound 750ml of Fou just to hurry on to the next stop doesn't sound like much fun. I agree with the other folks - stick around Brussels for the full day. There are plenty of worthwhile things to do. You can rent a car and enjoy the drive through the Ardennes the next day if you have the time.

Thank you for replies, looked like Fantome was a bit of a drive when i looked at it on the map. Any recommended places for lunch?

Once you see the big board at Cantillon, the rest of your day will likely be a wash.

Hit Moeder Lambic, either location for food and more beer!

For 1 day, I'd stay in Brussels and plan my day around an early lunch at Moeder Lambic and then on to Cantillon for the self-guided tour. On my first visit I had no trouble spending the entire afternoon there looking about, following the self-guided tour booklet, revisiting various stations on the tour to develop my understanding of the full process of brewing lambic, and sampling the beers on offer. I found it particularly helpful to be able to compare a glass of Gueze and a glass of year old lambic drawn moments before from the barrel. Once you are there doing the tour, see if you can figure out why, other than superstition, they don't clean out the cobwebs. Or see if you can figure out a very practical reason they would store their filled bottles on the sides after filling rather than standing them on their bottoms.

There's not a big roster of distinctive food options immediately around Cantillon. There's La Tour and one or two other good Lebanese places in really unassuming storefronts on Chaussée de Mons, a bit better than the places immediately by Gare du Midi. Over by ML Fontainas, you can hit Houtsiplou for a burger, and they have a few good beer choices to keep things rolling. (Caveat: I haven't been there in a while but More options as you continue toward Grand' Place and indeed even better if keep going toward St Catherine.

If you would like to visist 3F as well this will be no problem because you hava a train from Brussels to lot which take 15min and from the station it's a 10 min walk to the lambic-o-droom. So if you want to visit 3F, maybe you can start with this you can use public transport and is easebly accesable.

I did Cantillion and Drie Fonteinen in a day, went to Cantillion the morning and then the train to Fonteinen. Wasn't bad but train ride back I had a nice buzz and ended up back at Delirium that evening.

i think that it takes a nice buzz to make the bad decision to go to Delirium

but seriously. i don't get why anyone would go there. party bar. haven't seen anything overly nice on tap or in bottles. maybe i'm missing something.
