I guess so. I think it was reading "And I've missed every single Monkish can release because I've got a life on Saturday mornings." that made me think that you were suggesting that those who do go to those releases don't have a life. (FYI, I have never been to any Monkish release on a Saturday or ever)

No, I didn't misinterpret anything - I understood he was talking about beer he paid for. Not sure how pointing out that people get busy is "toxic" and "shit talking". I think you are getting a bit unnecessarily defensive here.

If anything I think people were being more judgmental towards people who failed to pick up their beer. I'm chiming in with those folks as someone who can empathize. Like I said, I haven't missed a pick up but I've come close. Of course no one forces me to order beer, and most places have long enough pick up times, but some of us do have very busy schedules. For me the San Diego pick ups can be rough. I have to carefully balance out my weekends and if something changes, it can screw everything up. And I don't even have kids. I will be very happy when league members can pick up in downtown LA

I'll go out on a limb here and say that this person... how shall I phrase this... maybe could have more gratifying things going on in his life

Hmm - perhaps I am. I thought @tokimedo was using the word "crazy" lightly by prefacing with "lol". On the contrary, it seems like there's been a lot of scoffing at people who are sharing at Monkish early in the morning, sleeping in cars, etc. If I'm off base here, I apologize - my point still stands that we're better off not arguing about these things - sorry if I made things worse.

Ah see this is what I'm talking about. I don't know this guy, and I'm glad I have other things to be doing with my time. But what he chooses to do with his time, that's his business isn't it? Maybe he lost his job, maybe college wasn't an option for him, maybe - anything? But that's not really our business, is it? What is gratifying to him at his age/networth/income probably isn't the same as yours.

well, i will never not find this kind of thing ridiculous, and will never not make fun of it. even so, that's still all it is. poking fun. i think calling these sort of comments "toxic" is going a bit far.

you really think sleeping in cars and sitting in a dark alleyway is not behavior worthy of comment? obviously the Monkish employee who posted that thought so

i don't know, maybe you're right, and i'm being really mean. maybe next Saturday I'll go to Monkish at 3am and bring everyone donuts and apologize for making comments on beer advocate that suggested i would prefer not to sleep in my car

Took me awhile but I finally popped open Some Assembly Required last night. It was very low in carbonation...almost flat. Definitely not what I expected after the bartender told me at pickup to serve really cold or the bottle will gush upon opening.

Did anyone else have this issue?

Congrats on being so awesome. It's a tragedy that I was not raised with such skill sets as yourself. I suppose it's a goal to attain to, you know, being the best at picking up beer with all your life's busy distractions.

I guess I'll have to live with the shame of not putting picking up beer on the top of my priority list. Oh well.

I didn't bother picking up my single 4-pack of Attack Frequency from MT as it turned out the only day I could've gone would've been Friday afternoon traffic coming back from SD for 4 cans.

I went to run on the beach instead... am I even allowed to post here anymore?
