The Anti-APEX. I wonder if they will take it the whole way by employing friendly, pleasant bartenders?

Do they give out free sample tastes as well?

I mean if you're going to be the anti-apex, why not go the whole way?

Some food trucks are card only, some stores are $ 10.00 minimum for cards. No cash? Seems odd.

Maybe we can go back to the halcyon days of the ol' checkbook, before things got all weird and digital?! You know, a time when paper was all around us and quality penmanship was something to be proud of...

(I've heard that Upright Brewing only accepts cash or check.)

Put me in the camp that would prefer a no cash policy over a no credit card policy. While I occasionally have literally zero cash in my wallet (and thus would have to either chase down an ATM and potentially also pay a fee of a few bucks to use it, or alternatively make a nominal purchase at a nearby grocery store and get cash back on my debit card for that transaction) ... there is literally never a time when I don't have at least one credit card on me. I have absolutely no problem putting a purchase of <$1 on a credit card, I simply don't care. If it's easier for me at the moment, that is what I will do.

So while I agree it's a little stupid on the part of a business to outright refuse to accept cash for goods and services, I find it even stupider for a business to refuse credit card transactions.

I know you didn't ask me, but just to add to the "data", the only reason I don't like to use cards for small purchases is that I feel bad about the attendant fees that come with CC purchases and I don't want to cause any grumbling. If a business is encouraging and giving me no choice but to use credit, I'd be more than happy to use it for a gumball

But they let @beertunes in, anyway! Perhaps he didn't have a warm Coors Light in his hand.

For the record, I think no to either method of payment is bullshit. I just think no cash would be more of a headache for all concerned when the technology fairy is amusing itself by crashing the computer.

Especially since Yardstick is across the street from a methadone clinic. You may actually be on to something here.

That is only because a place with a "No Cards" policy would have, like, almost zero good baseball.

Prefer plastic, I've spent as little as 10 cents with a card. In WA, you just need to jump on the "tap credit card train". Still, not everyone has a credit card so the plastic only thing is a bit odd. I guess it makes the age verfication thing pretty easy though!
