    Starting the thread, I could have titled it "what two beers are you drinking now?", but I'm thinking that would just set a bad precedent. Last of last year's on the left, one of this year's on the right. Other than visually, biggest difference is how muted the coffee is and how chocolatey last year's is compared to how prevalent the coffee is on this year's. Definitely enjoy this beer more aged, but also definitely enjoying the opportunity to do a side by side of a truly amazing beer. Happy Friday, virtual bar mates.

    Bottled 8/29/15 and drinking smooth. Dark chocolate, lite bitter roast, brown bread and toffee finish. Rich creamy body and great looking with a brown/cinnamon foam that turns dark tan sitting on jet black liquid. Sipping away and still can't find the 11%. Yum!

    We'll be heading back soon - loaded down with goodies, some for NBS BIF #4, some for me. Probably will detour through MI on our way back to PA in order to pick up some more beer. Yes, we do beercations (And numerous quilt store stops for Mrs Lizard).

    Man, that is truly beautiful!! I can only imagine all the different varieties of moods and scenes you get to enjoy living close to water. (Do you sense a tiny hint of envy? Lol)
