    The last couple of years Surly has very specifically said DON'T line up before (if I recall correctly) 4PM. Last year they had volunteers out directing traffic & keeping people out of the area until that time. They do not want to negatively impact the businesses around them on that Friday afternoon.

    Keep an eye here & on social media, but I'm sure Surly will make another "do not line up before XXX PM" pronouncement this year.

    no idea where it came from honestly.. now I gently caress the dent once in awhile and remember the great times I had at Darkness Day. can't wait to do it again!

    Did they have the bands announced by this time last year? Most people probably disagree but the bands are always one of my favorite parts, and they brought in a few big names in years past!

    Last year I think they officially announced the bands about two weeks before.

    Pelican last year was amazing.

    Anyone know if there will be a BA Darkness again this year? I'm sure it was mentioned somewhere in here, but the thought of sorting through hundreds of posts about when we can start lining up sounds more painful than leapfrog with a unicorn.

    One could make a case for having to wade through hundreds of posts about whether there will be BA Darkness in order to find out when we can line up, but, that aside, it's been posted that BA Darkness is indeed a thing, but won't be ready for Darkness Day.
