Didn't search to see if there was anything posted about this yet, but I think this news is thread worthy.

Anyway, with the next release of Rum King it will now be packaged in 4pks of 12oz cans. I think this is great news and wish more big barrel aged beers came in this same format.

    Details here: http://www.indeedbrewing.com/blog/rum-king-is-coming-in-a-can

That's pretty cool. 2009 darkness from a can, mother of God.

I think more than 12oz's, I'd like to see pint cans. I do like the pint can format far better. Especially, when putting a brew like Rum King in cans; 12oz is not enough but 22oz is a bit much...

If you are sharing with more than 1 person, why not just open 2 cans?

Even if they significantly increased production, seems like this will seriously decrease availability. They are almost doubling the oz. in a single purchase.

kinda depends on how you look at it really... I believe they have always had a multi-bottle limit when it goes on-sale at the brewery. I think it was 3 last year? so if they set the limit at one four pack that's actually less oz than the three bottles.

Still releasing at Hullabaloo? How many 4-packs can one purchase?

They won't be able to sell cans out of the brewery since they are not 750ml or 64oz.

So true, what is going to happen now? It sure was nice running up there, grabbing bottles, and having a few. Now, I have to run up there, have a few then try chasing them around later in the week?
Maybe, I'll just see if I fall into some when it hits stores, major buzzkill.
I guess, I'll just have to settle for my MD bottles that day.

I don't think they have really released much info on Hullabaloo, so maybe they will have bottles for sale like they have in the past and only cans go to distro. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Yeah, I totally didn't think about that... man, I am also not excited to run around town looking for this, but I'll do it!

One would hope there is more of it than last year. You would think if they are releasing it in a 4 pack, which is about twice as much as last years format, they would. If there is not, it will suck to see one or two can limits.

Well, there you have it, email just went out about Hullabaloo. No to go 2016 Rum King sales at Hullabaloo this year. It will be on tap and it looks like some 2015 and vertical boxes will be for sale.

Grab your friends, throw on your best flannel and get ready for some boot stomping, hip shaking fun at our annual harvest party. Hullabaloo is back and packed with plenty of goodies. We’ve hitched up a music lineup curated by First Avenue, and we’ll keep the brews and good times flowing all weekend long.

So what’s exactly in store? Come on down to help us celebrate Yamma Jamma’s return and the release of Rum King 2016 in the taproom. We’ll also be rolling out our cask station, featuring more beers than ever before. To keep you fueled up to get down, Blue Door Pub will be here slinging those heavenly bodies we call blucys and totchos. Aki’s Breadhauswill be also be on site, serving up warm, salty (and vegan!) pretzels with Day Tripper beer mustard, and Frio Frio will satisfy your sweet tooth with Indeed beer-inspired popsicles. Plus, bring the kiddos (or your inner child), and get your art on with GetKnit’s craft stations from12pm-4pm each day. It’s a yam-packed fall festival with all the fixins.

Hullabaloo is free to attend, and we’ll have a tent, so this event is rain or shine! Because of the large, noisy and sometimes rowdy nature of this event, please leave your furry friends at home – and tiny humans, please head out of the taprooms by 8pm. This event is CASH ONLY, so bring the green with you to avoid ATM lines.

PS – In case you haven’t heard, Rum King is releasing in cans this year! So we won’t be selling any packaged Rum King 2016 at the brewery. But on Sunday we will have bottle sales of Rum King 2015 and limited verticals for the taking, plus Rum King will be flowing on tap inside and out all weekend long!

Sorry, but I will not be attending this year. MD release (BG also), Gophers v Iowa, no bottles...
    Too much going on.
I sure hope to avoid the 1-2 can limit with a substantial markup. That's going to drive me crazy. I hope they made alot this year.

I want to attend this year, but only in the hope that they do a cask of blueberry mosaic with vanilla again, had a sip of that a couple years ago and it was delicious!

Anyone Know what the 4pks MSRP will be? Bottles last year were $17 or so for 25oz. So what will 48oz cost or most likely 12oz?

One can only hope it follows suit of Double Day Tripper. I remember the bombers of those being fairly pricey ($14 or $15), but now the 4pks are $10-11.
