First I want to show you a pretty glass.

 

Good morning BA, have a great Sunday!

Great English brown ale! Glad they brought it to the fall seasonal. Wasn't a fan of either of the pumpkin beers they released before. Flavors of big nutty medium roast coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, and light chocolate; with a touch of herbal hops. Light herbal/roasted coffee bitterness; creamy medium-plus bodied mouthfeel. Will be grabbing this again for sure.


Excellent stuff as always. Flavors of juicy pineapples; with hop flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, peach, mango, lemon/orange peel, and pine; with light-moderate honey/bready malt and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness; smooth and crisp finish; moderately sticky/resinous mouthfeel. Good dryness on the finish with zero hop or fruit astringency. I wouldn't put this over Regular, Grapefruit, or even Habanero; but I still love it. Great balance of the pineapple puree and classic Sculpin hop character; with good hop vibrancy.


My last 2010 bottle. Amazing! Flavors of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, caramel, toffee, and toasted dark bread; with lighter notes of smoke, char, licorice, raisin, and vanilla. Bittersweet roast/char finish; full body creamy/silky and lightly chalky drying mouthfeel. Top tier RIS as usual. Will have to pick up some more to age again, maybe I will be able to find some shelf sitters from last year.


Amazing wheatwine. 1 year old batch. Flavors of big caramel, molasses, brown sugar, toffee, raisin, fig, date, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, and bread. Balancing bourbon/oak spiciness against sweetness on the finish. Medium-full bodied creamy and lightly slick mouthfeel. Very smooth and lightly warming. Always love this stuff. Very barrel forward, but not overwhelming or boozy. Still have 3 left from last year's batch, but the new batch should be coming around in the next few weeks. This is dated 9/16.

What a difference a day makes...Saturday was 90 and extremely humid, then some heavy duty storms and cold front moved in last evening and it is now 62 and low humidity and cool breeze out the north...

Camba Bavaria Hop Gun.
Supposed to be a Brown Ale, but i'd categorize this as an old school East Coast IPA.
It was pretty good though.
